Skills Learned, Expertise Levels, and Resume Application

This assignment details three key skills—Information Systems Coordination, Strategic Planning, and Information Security—and explains how they can be effectively presented on a resume. The student highlights their expertise levels in each skill, referencing the SFIA framework, and discusses how their academic and internship experiences have strengthened their abilities. The top three skills which I have learnt and am going to apply on my resume are:-
Information Systems coordination(ISCO)- My expertise on this skill is level 6(Sfia-
online.org, 2019), This skill is going to help me coordinate information strategy of different
units, and help the organization to adopt a common approach to information strategy.
Strategic Planning(ITSP)- The understanding of this skill will help me to run a strategic
development and planning in an organization. The skills involve determining the policies,
guidelines, and standards of an organization. My expertise on this skill is on level 6 (Sfia-
online.org, 2019).
Information Security(SCTY)- This skill will help me provides the implementation, support,
and delivery of an organization according to the strategic need of the business. It will help me
make sure that there is no conflict between business strategies and information security. I
have reached the expertise level of 7 in this skill. (Sfia-online.org, 2019).
While writing for my resume, I can add these skills to the ‘skill’ section of my resume. I
learned these skills while I was studying, and at the time of the internship, I get a chance for
hands-on experience using these skills. And this strengthens my ability to execute these skills
to the best. Though I don’t have any direct link with these skills to my work experience, still
the knowledge of these skills helped me to gain confidence at my workplace. With the
knowledge of these skills, I am very much confident that I will surely be able to execute these
skills at my workplace if I ever get a chance.
