Abstract
The term public cloud refers to cloud computing services that are offered to the public by
third-party suppliers through the medium of Internet services that has been made public. The
services can be given free or sold when demanded by the customers enabling them to pay as
per their usage. Digital forensic deals in retrieving data of material obtained from dgital
devices. The informations of the public could be stored in the cloud and thus digital forensics
in public cloud is an emerging technology. This shift in technology has affected forensic
investigators as cyber crimes have increased. Valuable evidence for investigations is derived
from digital forensics.

Public cloud computing has become a notable level in information technology as it
has the potential to bring about change in the perspective of enterprises about their idea of IT
services [1]. The cloud computing have benefits and potential challenges for the users.
Digital forensic in cloud computing constitute data recovery; focus on detection of intrusion
and analyzing congestion in network traffic. The probable proposed solution would be to
build storage for log files [1].
Public cloud computing has made work and storage easier for organization to store
and share data. The advanced technology comes with significant risks and challenges [2]. The
system is prone to unauthorized access and other malicious attacks trying to steal sensitive
data from server [2]. The digital forensic team uses the traces of the path of the malicious
activity to understand the kind of attack and device solutions for the same. To avoid attacks
and intrusion in the system, provenance based access control system for the cloud is
proposed. This modern method increases the chances of acquiring missing data fragments in
Cloud [2].
The significant benefit of public cloud computing and connecting edge is that high
through put can be achieved under high concurrent accesses, data persistency, mobile support
and real-time processing [3]. Public cloud computing helps in scaling of the organization with
the reliability requirements based on generated data [3]. Public cloud computing have highly
modified the IoT infrastructure which lead to large-scale application like smart cities [3]. The
major challenge in the process is loss of data and intrusion. The proposed solution is to
identify the issue with digital forensic tools and induce software to block the leakage and
intrusion.

new technology allows end users to the utilization of technology as services [4]. Public cloud
is highly beneficial to enterprises and organizations. The benefits of the technology come
with its own set of disadvantages. Public cloud computing with its benefits invites major
cyber crime leading to technical issue, as the environments are not secure. Digital forensic
tools are used to find, analyze and preserve digital evidence. Public cloud forensic is a subset
of the network forensic, personalizing deployment techniques [4]. The integrity and privacy
of the data needs to be maintained to avoid data loss.
