Introduction:
The RFID is stands for radio frequency identification reader which is a typical type of
device that is used for collecting useful information from the RFID tags and this RFID tags
are actually used for tracking of various of other individual objects (Wang et al., 2017). In
this type of scenarios radio waves are utilised for transferring the data from a tag to a reader.
In this paper this RFID technology will described briefly. This RFID can be used for
various of scenarios including the tracking the behaviour of the consumers. One of the prior
case study where the RFID is utilised by the organizations to used track the behaviour of the
consumer has been selected. Here the case study is the “ISA Fashion Boutique International”.
In this case, several of important aspects related with the RFID tags will be discussed here.
Overview and History of the Project:
ISA Fashion Boutique International has successfully assessed that in a fashion sector
it is very much important to track thousands of assets which includes inventory and some
other products. For solving this issue the ISA Fashion Boutique International utilised the
RFID for solving the inefficiency issue (Wiseman, 2016). For solving the issue ISA Fashion
Boutique International also joined with several of other organizations. The RFID will be able
to speed up the whole process for better visibility of the organizational assets. With that by
using the RFID the ISA Fashion Boutique International tracked the consumer behaviour for a
better operation in the organization, as tracking of this data will help them to understand the
requirement of the consumers which will actually improve the business efficiency of the ISA
Fashion Boutique International.

Project Evaluation:
Within this project actually here a RFID based system has been developed for the ISA
Fashion Boutique International which is capable of managing the inventory of the
organization effectively. This system mainly provided two types of functionality in this case.
First is enabling the retailers to track the location of the actual product and engaging with the
customers through which their preferences will be learned, and it is important for improving
the business efficiency of the ISA Fashion Boutique International. In this project the RFID is
used with the CCTV for tracking the behaviour of the customer for the identification of
where the traffic of the shoppers is heaviest and how each of these customers responds to an
individual type of product. In this overall system the store retailer is also capable of note the
comments of the customers on particular type of product by using a high speed Wi-Fi
connections (Zhou et al., 2017). Thus, in this project aspect the RFID devices plays an
important role.
Project Status:
Considering the current status of this project, this project is executing quite well
within the ISA Fashion Boutique International. Through implementation of this project the
ISA Fashion Boutique International is currently able to solve various of problems that is
related with the organization and mostly their business processes has been improved as they
were able to know product interests of each of the customers so that they were approaching
the customer with some relevant offers (Wiseman, 2017). This RFID based customer
behaviour tracking system was installed in 2012 by ISA Fashion Boutique International
which has helped them in various of situations. Initially, there is an integration of CCTV
camera with the RFID tags for tracking the consumers behaviour. Later the ISA Fashion
Boutique International started RFID chip based customer loyalty cards so that each of the

customers can be identified easily when they arrives at the store and this technology
implemented quite successfully within the organization.
Information Generated due to Date:
Due to implementation of this type of RFID based technology there are currently
various of information that has been generated within the organisation while the behaviours
of the consumer has been checked. While this technology was functional within the
organization various of important information is generated from this technology (Robert et
al., 2016). First of all by using this technology a vast database has been generated about the
customers of ISA Fashion Boutique International and within the customer list which
customer prefers regarding the type of product that is assessed and from this data efficient
business procedures can be achieved.
Decisions made as a Result of the Information:
From the generated data of the RFID tags various of crucial decisions has been made
for the business context. First, from this data the current trend of the market has been
analysed. From the data it has been assessed that in some particular time there is a demand
for some particular type of fashion products. Depending on the situation the ISA Fashion
Boutique International has effectively refilled their inventory so that customers will always
found their desired products in the organization (Han et al., 2015). Also, particular type of
choices has been also assessed in this case by which ISA Fashion Boutique International
successfully served all the customers and through this customer satisfaction is increased.
Current state of the Technology:
Considering the current state of the RFID technology this has improved the retail
sector by tracking the consumer data quite largely. Organizations is now able to manage their

customers easily through the implementation of the RFID technology. With improvements in
the retail sector the RFID technology is currently also has improved the other business sectors
which includes manufacturing, time and attendance, picking and shipping of items and in
delivery related works (Liu, Gu & Kamijo, 2017). Thus it can be said that the RFID
technology has been improved in various of sectors considering the early initial stages and
through this, it is becoming more reliable technology with the time.
Limitation:
Though the RFID system works like a charm for the process of data collection, this
can face several of limitations while collecting the data in future cases. The range of the
RFID devices is very much low and due to this factor there might be problem in the future of
fetching the data of the RFID devices if there is no enough RFID sensors (Landmark &
Sjøbakk, 2017).
Conclusion:
From the above discussion it can be concluded that RFID devices is very much
important for tracking the behaviour of the consumers in different of context. In this
discussion case study of ISA Fashion Boutique International has been selected for the
evaluation of the RFID devices and various aspects of the case study has analysed in this
case. In this aspect first overview and history of the project has been analysed. Following that
project evaluation and project status has been discussed within this report. Various of
information has been also generated regarding the implemented technology which has been
also evaluated within this report. Further in this report limitation and current state of the
technology has been discussed.
