Project
AI Summary
This project investigates the application of RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology, enhanced by IoT (Internet of Things) principles, for improving product tracking within logistics and supply chain management systems. The project identifies existing issues with current RFID technology, such as limited tag capacity and signal interference, and proposes utilizing the electromagnetic spectrum to manage radio waves and enhance tracking efficiency. The research aims to improve the performance of connected logistics and supply chains, increase data access security, and integrate the EM spectrum with positioning techniques to accelerate RFID processing. The expected outcome is a more efficient, secure, and accessible system for tracking products throughout the supply chain.

1. Introduction

Background Information, Issues and Current Solutions

1.
In the fast changing world of technology, the demands of business world are unstable. Supply chain is in need to be designed to process in
accordance. The service sector is in need to fulfil the expectation of their customers by covering business, people ad digital value. This can be

elevated with incorporation of smart machines in designing system. The supply chain and logistics face issue related to communication and low

processing speed of system in tracking product delivery.

Current solutions used to manage inventory is RFID technology which includes RFID tag, RFID readers, RFID barcode scanning etc in the

domain of logistic and supply chain management (Product Tracking).

Shortcomings/ limitations in the current /existing solutions

2.
The information rich network of supply chain is in need to communicate effectively in numerous ways. The forecasted increment is 30-folds
of internet-connected physical devices by 2020. RFID tags is facing issue related to limited tag cent which impact scanning process of logistics

and make supply chain slow. Further the cyber-risk is another exposure to be addressed. RFID has complex relationship with metals and liquid
which include issue of radio wave bouncing due to absorption of signal sent by the tags.

Importance of solving this problem

3.
The objective of RFID technology is to develop a scanning and tracking of products to manage supply chain and logistics. This research
focuses on
inventory and logistics management with the use of positioning technique through tracking of products’ order and supply. With
maturing IoT devices such as commercial telematics the efficiency of logistics can monitor processing.

2. The Main objective and purpose of this research

1.
Aims and purpose of research are:
The main aim is to improve the performance of supply and logistics with the implication of IoT based RFID technology.
The purpose of this work is to identify the potential of IoT based devices those have affinity to logistics and supply chain management.
To improvise the efficiency of logistics and supply chain for it to be faster and easily accessible
To design a secure supply chain line for leaders to access using IoT based system
3. Questions need to be answered

The questions need to be created based on the objective that you set. These question will be used to collect accurate information in your

literature review stage

What sort of scanning technique used to track the products in logistics and supply chain?
How tracking can be managed to improve performance of supply chain and logistics?
How RFID technology should be considered as best solution for tracking and scanning?
4. A Brief Description of Your Proposal

The current solution used in this research is RFID technology which used to face issue related to slow processing and bouncing of radio waves

due to absorption of signals sent by tags. This issue can be solved through electromagnetic spectrum that arranges all electromagnetic waves as

per wavelength and frequency. It travels like wave light pattern at the speed of light to manage radio waves and tracking of products.

5. The Process or Methodology of Your Project

The stages to be involved in this research work are:

The research helps in determining existing issues in RFID technology for supply chain management and connected logistics.
This paper is outlining the RFID technology based on Positioning technique to enhance performance of tracking and scanning of
products.
