Introduction
A rhetorical analysis refers to the process of describing and analyzing the various words
which are included within the given text and have the power to influence the concerned audience
(Foss, 2017). The purpose of this paper is to understand the description method of rhetorical
analysis.
Discussion
The description method of performing a rhetorical analysis includes the use of critical
thinking ability by the audience (Hogenboom et al., 2015). The main purpose of writing a
rhetorical analysis essay is the analysis of a complex text which is given and to reformulate it in
to a comprehensive and easily understandable essay. In order to perform an analysis of the
rhetorical text given, it is therefore necessary to describe the words given in the text and to
understand the primary intention of the text as written by the author.
In this respect, it can be seen that the description method of performing rhetorical
analysis would be used in the analysis of my personal essay. I would try to make the readers
understand the content of my essay by describing and explaining the meaning of the words used
and the thoughts related to the usage of the sentences. This, in turn, would enable my audience to
analyze the essay and make critical analysis of it.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it can be noted that the purpose of rhetorical essay is to understand how
the elements given in the reading are related to one another. These elements and their relation
needs to be communicated to the audience.
