STRAL model, where the entire situation is describe with action and result. The 2nd part of the
report is essay in which 2 leadership challenge are describe in report also provided strategies as
well to sort out the problem. Further, report will describe SMART objectives for each strategy.
REFLECTION
By using STRAL, the reflection is written on the basis of given case scenario.
Situation: Riku is an international health professional student and now he was assigned
to provide care of old resident Mr. Brown, but the person is suffering from Dementia. Due to his
problem, one day he asked Riku to leave his home where Riku feel so bad and start thinking that
perhaps he had something to upset Mr. Brown but actually he did not (Chakraborty and et.al.,
2019). I think this all happen due to his problem from which he was suffering. Further, I also
analysed that this is generally happen due to sudden change in person's behaviour.
Task: in the case scenario, the task is to determine why Mr. Brown was angry and say
get out. I also think that Riku was felt distressed and wants to get out of this problem of Mr.
Brown's anger but somehow he forget that his mis- behaviour is due to his problem i.e. Dementia
where people start losing their memory. Apart from this, the task was to resolve a problem that
arose as a result of personal difference though it was not actually. But Riky wants to get rid out
of this.
Action: in order to solve the problem, Riku first met with his supervisor where his
confusion Is sorted and I also think his supervisor said right that Mr. Brown aggressive nature is
due to his problem where he did not meant as a personal attack on him (Graham, Walton and
Ward, 2019). Further, he also start talking with his fellow and realised that his supervisor is
correct. Therefore, they wants to conduct a orientation program that all the students receive at the
time of starting their placemen where they all learn different strategies to cope with such issues.
Result: If the orientation program are set then it helps to complete the task and also
contributed to the satisfactory results as well. Such that Riku will also determine how to deal
with such situation (Poulin and Fournier, 2019). Further I also realised that there is a lack of
confidence in Riku that also leads to creates conflicts and that is why it has to be resolved so that
