P6 Reflect on the effectiveness of research methods
I am thankful that i have been given the opportunity to be a part of the research work on the
given topic “To study the current challenges faced by hospitality organisations in managing
talent.” A case on Ritz hotel. This research activity has enhanced my basic understanding
regarding talent management in the working premises of hospitality industry. Apart from this in
order to accomplish set standards in the specified time duration i used questionnaire. This is
because it has helped me assemble and examine relevant data and information in well organized
manner. On the other hand I used deductive approach so as to measure quantitative information
more effectively. However, I came across several problems while conducting research like, lack
of time, resources and unethical behaviour of the communicator. All theses has restricted to
collect in-depth data for the topic. Also, I used Gantt Chart in order to simplify the complex task
into smaller parts so that they can be completed in the specified time duration.
.
P7. Elaborate the alternative research methodologies and lessons learnt in view of the outcomes.
It is taken into account as another part of study which supports and guide an researcher in
accumulation of data regarding the study. In the near future if i get a chance to conduct
research again I would chose Interview. This is because it is the best alternative research
methodology which help researcher assist in collecting qualitative data about the present
topic. However, in interview open-ended questions are prepared. This is because it aid
them in assembling authentic information in effective manner (Johnson and Christensen,
