The Impact of Person Rights on River Sustainability: A Proposal

This research proposal investigates the extent to which granting person rights to rivers encourages their sustainable management. The study poses the research question: "To what extent will the award of person rights to rivers encourage their sustainable management?" The proposal includes three propositions: that person rights lead to sustainable management, the extent of person rights' usefulness in sustainable management, and whether sustainability can be managed through person rights. The report analyzes the legal rights for nature and their impact on economic, cultural, and environmental factors, emphasizing the importance of conserving water resources and addressing increasing pollution. The proposal also considers the effectiveness of person rights in sustainable management, the need for strict laws, and the role of both government and society in river conservation, referencing relevant literature to support its arguments and provide insights into the subject matter. The research aims to determine what sustainable practices are followed and the motivational factors due to which person are included in sustainable management, and how these measures can be practiced or taken for similar type of projects.

sustainable management?
Proposition 1
Is that person right to river lead to sustainable management?
The legal rights for nature can be created within a range of legal and institutional settings to
address a number of complex socio-environmental and economic problems. One of the most
unexpected findings from this analysis was that the legal rights for rivers approach can be used to
address problems motivated by economic, cultural, or environmental factors. Similarly, person
right to river are legal rights of rivers to protected them from various problems. It includes many
other activities and tasks that are done to ensure river is clean. So, in case if any authority of
particular area is polluting river than legal action can be taken as per person right to river. This
leads to its sustainable management. But in recent times, it is necessary to conserve natural
resources so that it can be saved for the future. This is because humans are exploiting those
resources harshly. It has resulted in its depletion. However, water is a basic human necessity.
Water is needed for many purposes such as cooing food, farming, drinking, etc. (Ahmad, Ahmad
and Alam, 2016) Thus, it is necessary to save and conserve water. It is because there are only
limited sources through which fresh water is available. But they are also depleting day by day.
The sources are river, lakes, ponds, wells, etc. in order to do so sustainable management is best
practice and method that can be applied. It has been identified that in present times, increasing
pollution has become a concern for global world. In many countries pollution is increasing day
by day which is highly impacting on the lives of people and society. However, there are many
reasons due to which pollution is rising. It is from vehicle, industries, construction, etc. each one
is equally contributing its own way.
Proposition 2-
Is that extent of person right useful in sustainable management of river?
It has been identified that in many cases person right to river is useful in sustainable
management. But the outcomes attained in that are not that much effective. This is again leading
to affecting river in other district or area where authority is not responsible. Moreover, after
sometime due to lack of resources river sustainability is not managed. There is need to impose
strict actions or laws which will enforce authorities of that particular area to manage river.
Besides that, river rights are not even followed in effective way. So, it has highly impacted on

the river maintenance. Thus, person right is not useful in sustainable management of river. It
requires huge efforts from both government as well as society. With that it will be easy to initiate
or develop some methods or process to maintain river. However, it has been evaluated that the
rights not only support sustainability but it also limits the use of resources. So, people as well as
companies are not able to exploit excessive use of resources. It is useful in maintaining
sustainability of river. With that various other restrictions are imposed as well for society.
Besides that, it is the responsibility of society as well as government to save river from
getting polluted. From it local authority is also responsible for it (Avelino, Allinne and Savary,
2018). However, in country like India river are having some person rights which can be used in
protecting themselves from getting polluted. In such a polluted atmosphere environment it is
essential to maintain ecosystem. This helps in protecting atmosphere and providing fresh air and
water. Also, it helps in taking effective measures and actions so that sustainability is maintained.
Other than this, when areas are identified it is easy to minimise the impact.
Proposition 3
That sustainability can be managed through person rights?
This proposition state that river sustainability can be managed through person rights. It is
because rights consist of obligations and duties of particular area which they have to adhere.
Furthermore, many policies and guidelines are followed in order to sustain and manage river. As
they are having some legal right so any mis management by authority or local government can be
claimed. This will lead to taking legal action against them. So, they will have to follow order of
court. Similarly, in this way it will be easy for river to claim for their right in case something is
done. Hence, it will result in fixing rights of local area authority. It will prevent or restrict them
to harm and damage river. Along with it, person right will provide them insight about what
things they have to do in sustaining river. Moreover, their duties will be fixed. Hence, in all areas
where river pass no illegal procedure will be carried out. It will ensure river sustainability.
Therefore, it is stated that sustainability can be managed with person rights. As the topic is
related to find out how person rights to rivers encourages their sustainable management.
Moreover, it will show what rights are contained by person. It will also help in finding out what
sustainable practices are followed in it. In addition, this will be show motivational factors due to
which person are included in sustainable management. Also, in future those measures can be
practiced or taken for similar type of projects. Furthermore, it is determined that there exists

several strategies and concepts which are been applied. But it is not so successful in minimising
impact and also not so effective. So, it requires person right in order to manage sustainability in
effective and proper way.
