BRIEF BACKGROUND
Currently, social media platform has been proven highly effective in context of emerging
businesses from all aspects. It is playing crucial role in reaching large number of audience
(Cormier & Cushman, (2021). The present study revolves around the Riverland library. This is a
public library that assures potential focus over community engagement. The library does not
have efficient presence at the social media platform. This proposal will highlight the social
media proposal in context of Riverland library. The proposal will shed a light over the use of
social media platform by the similar organizations. Also, the ways in which social medial tool
can be used by the library will be described. Along with this, suggestion over improving the
existing social media presence of library will be made. The appropriate recommendations in
context of adopting social media tools for external and internal management will be described in
the proposal. Also, appropriate justification will be made for selecting appropriate social tools.
MAIN BODY
Overview of using social media in similar organization
Libraries are effectively using social media platform that enable them to communicate
about their services and helps in highlighting about their collection. Followers that grows on
social media leads to increase the reach of libraries. Large number of people have effective
interest in terms of reading the books. Thus, social media presence of libraries helps in attracting
such people within highlighting the collection that has been developed by the libraries. It has
been found from various studies that, libraries that used social media presence has reached large
number of audience and often gets benefit in context of increasing the interaction with the
customers. Social media platform helps in reaching the major organizational goal. The main
motive of library in entitled within developing the effective information for the readers. It
provides wide scope to the readers in terms of gaining knowledge from the books (Yahia, Al-
Neama & Kerbache, (2018). In case, the customers are unaware about the presence of library
then there is no sense of having effective collection. Therefore, it is highly important to
encourage the presence of library over the social media platform. Using social media platform in
effective manner helps in creating effective interaction and often helps in reaching the main
motive. Here is the example of libraries that are using social media platform:
Berri Barmera Library

This library is situated in Australia. It has been found from various studies that, Berri
Barmera library is providing platform to the readers in order to share their knowledge. This
library is using social media platform in effective manner and that is enabling library in context
of reaching large number of audience. Instagram and Facebook has been used by library as their
social tools. Regular update in regards to new collection has been made over Instagram and
Facebook Berri Barmera Library service, (2022). As a result, readers becomes aware about the
collection of the library and gets interact with the library. Often, library has developed its own
app where readers can read books at online platform. Thus, this leads to full-fill the satisfaction
level of the client and encourage them to read more books as comfortability has been assured to
them. Thus, using social media tool has been proven highly effective for Berri Barmera Library.
Waikerie Library
This library is using the Twitter and Facebook as social media tool. Page has been created
over both the apps and regular updates has been made over the pages. Also, comments and
opinions of the customers have been taken in consideration and this helps in maintaining
satisfaction level of customers and often crates effective interaction among the customers and
library. Tweets of the customers has been reviewed on regular basis that creates the spirit of
making tweets in customers WAIKERIE LIBRARY & VISITOR CENTRE, (2021). Thus, in this
manner Waikerie library has effectively managed its social media presence and attracting large
number of customers that is increasing the reach of libraries.
How social tools can be used internally in the organizations
Social media tools are effective in order to increase the engagement of people and
establish better communication among them. With the help of new technology and various social
media platforms the organization may be able to enhance the coordination between employees
and increase their engagement towards the business (Greenhow, & Chapman, (2020). Employees
are generally using social media tools in their personal lives in order to share their personal
information to their friends and family. A same type of environment can be created in the
management in order to provide a better work experience to the employees. It may be useful in
order to coordinate effectively with the employees and build strong bonds with them.
These platforms may be useful for the information and document management if the
