Statement of purpose for visa
My name is Rohan Dastane and I am from India. My family includes my father Rajesh Dastane
who is an engineer by profession and currently working as the sales manager at IEC Pneumatic
Tools PVT LTD. My mother Radhika Dastane is a housewife. In the year 2010, I completed my
secondary school from Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School which is in India. Then in the year
2012, I completed my senior secondary from Kaveri Institute. After completing my schooling, I
enrolled for the Bachelors of Commerce from SMKBN College of Commerce and completed the
same in the year 2015. I enrolled for this course as I was interested in accounting and was
looking for my future in this field due to which I selected this course.
In the past Australian study, I enrolled for the Macquarie University for Masters of Accounting
CPA Program but I was not able to complete my study. Then later, I took admission in Holmes
Institute for my study of Masters of Professional Accounting which was completed. Currently, I
am working pursuing MBA which is yet to be completed. I selected Holmes as it provides MPA
and MBA combine degree which made me select this college. I selected this course as I want to
attain the area of specialisation in the subject of business and management. I have completed my
MPA but now it is time for me to attain the learning about the different management subjects.
These subjects and specialization help me in my future job with accounting and management
skills. I am working with Southside Taxation Services since 02/09/2019 as office admin which
include the duties to handle client calls, data entry, basic GST work. This sort of work is entirely
different from my skills of the accounting and management for which I took a degree due to
which I want to see my future in India.
My plan for future includes pursuing post-graduation for which I need to go back to India and
also to find the job related to the accounting field as there is wide scope in the accounting

industry. I want to go back to India as my family, friends, and relatives live in India. The degrees
and study from Australia helped a lot to improve skills and also enhanced my career prospects in
India.
