This research project investigates the role of line managers and leaders in employee development and talent retention within Next plc. It aims to identify the contributions of these roles to training, development, and overall employee growth, both personally and professionally. The study uses a deductive approach with a quantitative research methodology, employing a sample size of 40 employees from Next plc. The research explores the contributions of line managers and leaders, including communication, time management, decision-making, training, relationship management, and effective resource utilization. It further examines the benefits of talent management practices, such as improved decision-making and competitive advantage. The project concludes by suggesting employee development plans, including on-the-job training and conferences, and uses a frequency distribution table for data analysis. Desklib offers this project and other resources for students.
