Introduction
Nurses play effective role in declining weight of individuals as several individuals visit in
clinics because of obesity-associated diseases such as fertility, cardiovascular disease
sleeping disorder, mobility, type 2 diabetes, mental disorder, weight disorder, breathing
issues, and weight associated disease. It is the key accountability of nurses that they should
favourably encourage their clients and patients concerning using a healthy diet, drinking
habits as well as, limited to consumption of alcohol (Mostaghim, et. al., 2017). The aim of
conducting this research is to identify role of nurses in endorsing weight loss initiatives for
adults in Australia.
Brief literature reviews
According to Brown et al. (2017), nurses improve the activity extent of their patients and
clients. Along with this, patients can get adequate data associated with following healthy
habits of eating as well as, having a balanced diet through using the Eatwell guide. Due to
inadequate resources and time of healthcare professionals in terms of offering regular
facilities to their patients and clients. However, it is assessed that results can be enhanced by
providing continuous support as well as, regular facilities. Nurses perform as a significant
aspect concerning the obesity epidemic because they educate different patients and families
concerning nutrition as well as, an illness associated with obesity.
On the other side, Andela et al. (2019) evaluated that nurses can perform as a counsellor
through supporting their clients concerning addressing their health goal line as well as, create
plans according to the requirement of attaining the goal. It is evaluated that a healthy and
balanced diet is a significant factor that supports declining weight and different health
concerns. Patients can provide different alternatives for nutrition as nurses offer required

stick to that plan in terms of keeping their weight.

This paper illustrates a brief overview of the literature on role of nurses in endorsing weight
loss initiatives for adults in Australia. Although several investigations are performed on
weight loss programs of nurses, however, these are not specifically about adults that entail
challenges faced by nurses in endorsing weight loss initiatives for Australian adults. This
review facilitates data that supports addressing strategies of nurses in endorsing weight loss
initiatives for Australian adults (Andela, et. al., 2019).

How nurses play a significant element in endorsing weight loss initiatives for adults in
Australia?
Goal: This research is conducted to identify the role of nurses to reduce the weight of adults.
Objective: To comprehend the real-life experiences of adults to deal with nurses in weight
loss.

The phenomenology research approach is used to identify the concern of role of nurses in
endorsing weight loss initiatives for Australian adults. The key element of using
phenomenology is to address individual experiences about the phenomenon of description
regarding universal spirit. Phenomenological investigation emphasizes on lifeworld lived
experiences that are illustrated through respondents who reflect on them. The data gathering
procedure considers interviewing people who have participated in identifying role of nurses

Methods:
The investigation is to be performed through face to face interviews on different adults.
Moreover, different research studies are chosen randomly to understand role of nurses in
endorsing weight loss initiatives for adults in Australia. Along with this, a semi-structure
interview is applied with some open-ended questions. Moreover, this kind of interview is
selected to capture depth information in which participants have responded to open-ended
questions (Snyder, 2019).
This kind of interview is performed on 10 adults and largely consider 30 minutes. This
interview is well-suited to explore the opinion and perception of participants that make
competent to obtain more facts as well as, clarification on the response towards research
concern. It facilitates change in terms of assessing the sensitive concerns and makes
competent to interview to explore as well as, illustrate the contradictions to participant
accounts (Reilly and Jones III, 2017).
Along with this, there are higher chances to communicate among interviewer and participants
and also it creates the sense related to rapport. It also declines the uncertainty about a
communally required response. It would offer a chance to assess the validity regarding the

Concerning adults, the semi-structured interview would support for probing more data

require to be considered through nurses in endorsing weight loss programs (Taherdoost,
2017).

Personal reflection on your motivation for exploring this research question
Nurses play significant role in declining weight of adults. I have acted as a nurse where I
have organized some programs to create awareness regarding strategies of weight loss among
adults of Australian. I have organized some session to personally meet with each individual

to understand the factors that affect their weight. I have also comprehended what factors can
affect the weight of adults. I found it is essential for investigating adults to implement the
weight loss initiatives among adults. I have observed that by interviewing adults, researchers
can address whether nurses can improve in their healthcare practices. And, by enhancing the
health policy of nurses, quality of care could be enhanced in healthcare firm.

Confidentiality:
Data collected via participants would not be shared with any person who would not involve
in research in order to save the data.
General data protection right
GDPR act would be focused through researcher in order to secure data with regards to
confidential data that will be contributed by targeted respondents. In such aspect, investigator
would not allocate information to any person (Reilly and Jones III, 2017).
Anonymity:
Selected participants would not be documented in their opinions and will not share the
research concern. Hence, researcher would provide assurance to respondents that their
recognition will be maintained at the time and after investigation (Basias and Pollalis, 2018).
Consent:
As per the ethical norms, researcher would not be pressurised for responding in research. It
would illustrate need to gather informed consent by participants in the investigation.
Plagiarism:
To conduct the investigation free from plagiarism, researcher would not copy-paste any
information from other investigations. A researcher would write the research solution via the
use of own words (Taherdoost, 2017).

Risk of bias
Research limitations will eliminate existence of collecting reliable evidence about the
investigation issue. In this manner, researcher would focus on avoiding such aspects via
researcher that can negatively impact the result of an investigation. It is determined that the

eliminating favourable outcomes (Basias and Pollalis, 2018).
Primary data gathering would take maximum time that will directly affect investigation
outcomes. Research scholars can avoid such issues by focusing on communication with
participants about question of investigation. This interaction will reduce issue related to
research. It could be supportive of research in terms of keeping the privacy associated with
respondents and declines chance associated with ethical concerns through investigation
(Reilly and Jones III, 2017).
