Purpose of Information Technology
 The main purpose of information technology in
business is to store, process, secure and exchange
the data in the form of electronic data so that the
business can store and retrieve their data in
effective manner.
 The information technology department has the
main purpose in any organisation that they are
responsible for the structuring, software, hardware
and networking of computers in the firm.

Aims and objectives of the Research
 Aim: The main aim of conducting this professional research
is to analyse the role of information technology in business.
 Objectives:
To evaluate the use of IT
 To determine the importance of It in the
growth of the business.
To identify the benefits of IT in the
organisation
To define the major drawbacks with the use of
IT in the firm.

Rationale of the Research topic
 The main purpose of choosing this research topic is to
analyse the impact of IT in the modern world of
business. This topic is going to show that how the
information technology is going to assist the business
organisation in expanding their business and attain the
high rate of profit margin. By conducting this
researcher the investigator will able to gain the
knowledge about the use of Information technology in
many domain.

Research Methodology
 The research is to be conducted in two ways as this is
having the two approaches to conduct the research which is
known as the research methodology. The research
methodology is categorized into two parts such as
qualitative and Quantitative research methodologies.
 The Qualitative research methodology collects and
assemble the data in the theoretical form such as from the
articles, journals and the blogs.
 On the other hand, The quantitative research methodology
collects the data and information in the mathematical form
such as from the online websites, magazines, newspapers,
etc.

Data collection Methods
 The data collection methods divided
into two parts such as primary and
Secondary.
 The primary data collection method
is used to collect the fresh and new
data from the various sources. In this
the data is not collected previously,
as this is gathered for the first time
by the investigator.
 The secondary data collection
method is used to collect the data
from the sources where the data as
already posted by any author, that’s
why this is called the secondary data.

Considerations
 There are many benefits of using the information
technology as well as there are many of the drawbacks
also by this technology.
 The use of information technology increases the
dependency as most of the peoples and staff of the
organisation gets totally depend on the computer system
for all the tasks.
 This also tends to the decline in the skills of the humans
and the end users.
 This also leads to the reduction in the income as the man
power gets reduced.

Present and Relevant Literature
 The use of information technology in the present time
as changed the life of peoples.
 The biggest impact is on the communication of the
humans , they can communication with various sources
like E-mails, video chats, audio calls, etc.
 With the speed of the communication they can speed up
the business of the organisation.

organization is very beneficial for the companies as
