INTRODUCTION
Enterprise information system can be defined as the kind of information system which
enhances the functions of the organisation business processes by integration. Enterprise resource
planning can be defined as the management of integration of main processes of the business
mainly in the real time or mediated by technology and software. Moreover, it refers to the
systems and software which is utilised to manage and plan for all the fundamental supply chain,
services, financial, manufacturing and other process of an organisation (Vom Brocke, Maaß,

MAIN BODY
Define purpose and scope of the case study using an ERP system
Case study conducted on the Rolls Royce company in which the investigation is made on
the implementation of enterprise resource planning. Its purpose is to discuss about the
background of the company, presenting the status of Information Technology before and after
the implementation of enterprise resource planning, implementation phases of SAP is discussed
in the company, discussion on the research methodology and the project risk presented in the
implementation of SAP (Nah, Eschenbrenner, Claybaugh and Koob, 2019). Scope of the study is
based on the betterment for the company so that they can be able to implement the information
technology such as enterprise Resource Planning and SAP techniques in their systems. The
reason behind this is that it helps in the logistics management such as production planning along
with the material management and plant management using the project management and events
management methodologies. Moreover, human resource management as well which includes the
personal management and training and development for the employees in an organisation.
Supply chain management is an another scope of implementation of enterprise resource planning
which contains the inventory control and purchase and order control along with the suppliers
scheduling and planning (Shao, 2019). Purpose and scope of the case study using an enterprise
resource planning system is helpful for the organisation so that they can maintain the efficiency
in the company and effectiveness in functioning of it for generating better productivity.
Discuss and evaluate case study ERP implementation approach
The enterprise resource planning project contains the whole administration squad of
specialised employees either from the exterior Subcontracting company or have the focussed
aptitudes of SAP Advisors. The internal managers who are responsible for the implementation of
the project have the significant information of cross functional industry interrelationships and
practical information of the old interior systems. Every department has its own enterprise
resource planning team and they are accountable for the implementation of working changes and
training of the employees. The implementation of the project problems is grouped in three
domains such as cultural problems, business problems and Technical difficulties. They have
applied at the three phases in the implementation process such as first is the Phase 1 that is the
strategy and direction which means that the space is only for the in-depth study of the scope and

rendering the outline plan and feasibility study of the project. In this the group was shaped to
manage the monetary supervision of the task to control the team and actual implementation
process (Lokuge and Sedera, 2020). The time of phase 2, a thorough strategy was generated and
a sample system was installed. Development of enterprise model was conducted which is
grounded on the company's model and it was merged with existing model of the company. 3rd
phase is of the implementation phase which is very big to implement in single go and therefore it
is separated into two waves such as both the waves are related to the physical application of the
architecture and system. It is also anxious with the altering working practices inside the business.
Analyse case study handling of change management during ERP implementation
There are Change management at the time of enterprise resource planning implementation
such as at the time of Phase 2, alterations were made to The Legacy system and these alterations
were adopted in the various series of Suits. In the first suit there are two domains such as first is
the planning of the supply chain which means that identification of minimum and maximum
levels of sales which includes the engines and spare parts are done in this type of a suit
(Boscoianu, Prelipcean and Lupan, 2018). Second is the master schedule key programs which
means that it includes the decision making of sales and operating review board which contains
the forecasting of Manpower and Technology which is required in the implementation of the
project. In the second suit there are further two domains such as first is the plan and schedule the
factory which means that it is responsible for converting the agreed programme from suit 1 into a
Construction plan which allows all the components of manufacturing into the strategy volume in
order to produce the units which are required. Basically it is the procedure which translates
unpredictable client desires into a reliable Manufacture strategy which permits the ability to
function effectively on an even shape. Second is the schedule the shop which means that it is
accountable for converting the Manufacture strategy into a thorough strategy of the shop. It plans
that went to present the substantial either raw material or finished particulars and when the
material should meet the recognised stages of the process of manufacturing. In III suit there is
one domain such as the operation of the factory which means that it covers the control of flow of
working with the help of shop from the starting group of present to the distribution of the end
product. It collects data on the reservation of at recognised phase in the procedure of
manufacturing and then gathers the functioning data for cell level of administration. It monitors

inventory among the industrial components and component flow with the help of make

Propose appropriate strategies
Strategies which are proposed for the implementation of the project are such that matching
of the process is done to the software configuration, people are trained in order to accept
changes, teaching employees that how they can use the advanced information technology
equipment, cleaning up of the data on a very frequent basis, preparation the behaviour of SAP
users, linking The Legacy systems and cleaning up of the information in an organisation,
management of the relations and foremost squads in both mechanical as well as non-technical
background, manufacturing of the simulation exercises, using the transactional training and
introducing the shop floor interaction with blind workforces which requires the line workforces
to join factories in order to study new personal computer abilities in order to book work (Kim,
Anand, Larson and Mahoney, 2019).
CONCLUSION
It is concluded that enterprise resource planning system is an important type of information
system which help the organisation in managing its large or small types of resources in an
efficient manner. Therefore in order to apply such learning in the real world organisation, it is
significant to analyse the determination and possibility of the case study using an enterprise
resource planning system, it is essential to examine the discussion and evaluation of case study
enterprise resource planning implementation approach, it is necessary to determine the case
study handling of Change management during enterprise resource planning implementation and
it is significant to gain the knowledge about the proposing of appropriate strategies. Hence this
report covers all such areas in order to better understand the conceptualization of enterprise
resource planning system.
