Half of the deaths in Romania are due to behavioural risk factors
Lower physical activities, consumptions of alcohol, usage of tobacco as well as poor diet are the
behavioural risk factors which are the cause of half of the deaths in Romania. Low physical
activities accounts for 4% of the cause of death in Romania while consumptions of alcohol is
accountable for 14 % in the country. Second hand as well as direct smoking by the usage of tobacco
is responsible for 17% of death of the people of Romania. Additionally, excessive consumptions of
salt & sugar as well as in appropriate intake of vegetables and fruits which contributes to 27% of the

the cases of this disease has been declined over the past years but this disease has been reported as
present highest in European Union which has been approximately 13000 cases in the year 2017.
The indication of TB or the symptoms of TB had too been reduced in the European Union but
however, it remained highest in the country i.e. it had reached to 10.7 per one million individuals
from 66.2. The country Romania had faced the health issue of measles too whose rates of
notifications of symptoms were around 26.2 in European union earlier and it had reached to 102.1
per million in the year 2018 (Petrescu and et.al, 2017).
Women above 65 got affected to the chronic diseases or the diseases of disability
Earlier in 2000 the Romanian women were expected to live for 14.7 years more after the age of 65.
While in the year 2017 this life expectancy has been increased to two more years i.e. it had reached
to 16.7 years. Although, it has been observed that the chronic diseases or the disease of disability is
been common in European Union for the women above the age of 65. On the other hand the life
expectancy of the men of Romania is approximately two three years lesser than that of the women
above the age of 65. Thus, the years of healthy life in the pubic of Romania can be summarized as
5.9 years for women and 5.1 years for the men in the year 2017 (Linc and et.al, 2017).

times higher in the country Romania. In the year 2016 and average of 80 individuals lead to death
over the population of 100000 in European Union while it was 256 in Romania due to stroke.
Although this has been reduced since the year 2000 but still it remained at the second leading cause
