findings are summarised in the chapter in order to attain effective and well defined evaluation of
the study. The aim of the present was to evaluate issues and challenges facing Romanian
migrants in the Hospitality Industry; an employee perspective. An in-depth evaluation for the
study was undertaken in order to attain a clear and well defined evaluation of the study. The
findings of the research help in examining a substantive impact of the selected topic. The present
section of the study will focus on summarising and concluding the overall study.
Conclusion
The findings of the study revealed that migration for the purpose of job and employment
is one of the most common trend adopted by the people all around the world. Research evaluated
that Romanian population setting in UK for the purpose of employment. This has helped them in
developing their financial and social aspects within the economy. From the discussion, it has
been found that in the present corporate world, the role of training and development has become
an important aspect of the organization to get the success in the marketplace. Organizations have
adopted different methods and strategies to hire skilled and effective employees who have able to
give their efforts to meet the business objectives. As per the financial crisis in 2008, the major
contributor state of the UK was Romanian. This has affected the employment conditions in the
nation. Many of the people have experienced this situation in terms of cutting down the number
of jobs which has minimized the income sources of individual. This financial crisis has also
affected the other business sectors such as hospitality, education, health and social care etc. From
this impact, the hospitality sector of the UK has highly affected. On the basis of the statistics, it
has been determined the number of Romanians and Bulgarians people are working in the UK has
increased with 15% on per year basis. They are working in the nation as like other permanent
citizens of the UK. The reason of increase number of Romania and Bulgaria is immigrants where
the people are moving from lower pay levels nation to higher pay country. On the other hand,
from the discussion chapter, it has found that the wages rate of labour in Romania has too low as
compare to the other nations. The result of this is the cost of salary of the employees in the

hospitality industry has reduced and this has increased the profitability of the organizations.
From the literature review, it has found that the entire effect has depended on the type of
migration and the length of time people stay in one nation. The persons who have lived in
developed nations have experienced a better living standards as well as better pay scale.
The outcome of results section shows that the Romanian employees have faced various
challenges in hospitality industry. Regarding this, one of the challenges is low level wages rate.
Personnel who are working in the following sector has work under the minimum wages rate
which has too low according to the living standards of the UK. Another issue is housing and
language barrier. Many of the Romanians have shared rent rooms and not able to speak English.
Along with this, there have some evidence found from the result chapter that Romanians belong
to a different background and their values and beliefs has varied from the UK people. Due to this
reason, the immigrants have not carried out their jobs in hospitality industry.
On the other hand, from the whole study, the researcher has concluded that there are
many of Romanians working in the UK hospitality sector because they have highly expertise in
this area. There are many job roles in hospitality sector which has not required high
qualifications or experience or education to perform them. This is the also one of the reason why
which Romanians have ready to do the jobs in this sector at low wages rate. On the other hand, it
has been found from the results that majority of the organizations conduct training semi-annually
to equip the staff with necessary skills. But a major barrier to educate and train them by the
organizations is money. In addition to this, lack of interest of Romanian migrants has affected
their development. Majority of the workers do not see professional progression in their current
roles. Some workers have also do not recognized their effort by the top management on
completion of major projects.
