INTRODUCTION
Managing change in the social and healthcare sector is a very crucial and cumbersome
task because of the verity of operations in which these sector is indulge with. The manager and
the official has the critical responsibility to managing the change effectively by complying it
with organizational goals and objectives. There are various changes are taking place in the
scenario of health and social care such as political, social, economical and technological which
makes managing the change more necessary for the welfare of the organization and society.
1 Discussion Syed's roles and responsibilities in respect to maintain quality in Rosewood Center
centre.
According to the given scenario, Rosewood Center is an after school play centre for
children with special needs. Further it operating times is 3.30 PM to 7 pm. There are number of
children who have a hearing impairment. In this organisation there are high staff turnover who
provide health care services to children (Chen, Kim and Yamaguchi, 2014.). Currently
Rosewood Center has appointed Syed as a manager, where it he observed that some necessary
changes need to be implemented. There are high turnover staff at play centre and they are not
much skilled in order to provide quality services to children. Further team leader at Rosewood
Center adopted autocratic leadership style which demotivate employees. Teacher and other staff
member who are providing services to children's does not take proper care of children who have
a hearing impairment.
There are different roles and responsibilities of manager regarding maintaining quality at
Rosewood Centre. One of the more essential services is the more important is that its quality is
assured. The purpose of play school is to teach and support children who are suffering from
disabilities in order to promote there well being. If the school fail to this then it will impact the
health and way of living of children (Cameron and Green, 2015). Quality assurance the
contemporary theories claim that quality can be assured only by staff member who provide
services to customers. Further manager can focus on hiring staff member who are highly skilled
and have knowledge to handle children with special need. On the other hand existing staff
members can be provided training facility, so that they came to know the way to treat children
who have a hearing impairment. For instance, if teacher understand the way of understanding
children who cannot hear or speak, then they can easily support them in overcoming there

reading and the through action the way they can express there problem and feelings to other.
Therefore, by providing training and development facility to staff member manager can easily
assured quality. Apart from this the Rosewood Centre commitment to quality support its growth
of school and help in enhancing the growth and development of school. There are some policy
of quality which need to be known by the staff member and teacher in school. To make good
image in market teachers need to make sure that they provide high quality product which can
win the trust of children's and their parents, it help in gaining their strong trust. Further they need
to respond the enquires and request of children so that they feel comfort at Rosewood Centre.
Manager need to produce written specification for health care work which sets its concept,
characteristics and standards. It is so because the specification is at the heart of guaranteeing
quality (Akerib, Alsum and Boulton, 2017). Further manager is need to to seek the control
quality against the specification. At the Rosewood Centre the quality control can be done by
making right policy and procedure. Manager is also responsible to make sure that resources used
at Rosewood Centre are of good quality, so that children may not get hurt by any resources
which are available at play centre. If resources used at play centre is of not good quality then
teacher cannot provide high quality services. Therefore implementation of quality resources is
also very beneficial for Rosewood Centre in order to provide quality services to children

Strength:
The strength is Rosewood centre is that teachers and other staff members are highly
skilled as they know the way to treat children in appropriate manner who are suffering

The Rosewood centre have opportunity to provide snack and drink to all students. Further
new information communication technology can be used by the school in order to
provide high quality services to students and maintain records in systematic way
(Goetsch and Davis, 2014). Along with this it can also provide training and development
facility every month, so that teachers can easily serve quality services to its customers.
Further Rosewood can make changes in its policy and procedure regarding the welfare of
students so that they not face any type of issues at the time of taking services.
All the information provided by students must be kept confidential so that parents not
face insecure at the time of providing information related to services (Goetsch and Davis,
2014).
Threats
Threats are the barriers which unable to deliver quality services to students at Rosewood centre.
Lack of resources and ICT technology at Rosewood is one of the threat faced by
organisation in order to quality services. Along with this due to this reason organisation is
unable to provide training facility to its customers (Güneralp, Güneralp and Liu, 2015).
Secondly lack of financial resources Rosewood is unable to buy resources and make
necessary improvement which are required within an organisation.
There are high number of children and Rosewood is not able to treat each and every
student due to lack of time.
