Break-even analysis: On of the important method which is used by the management of
Rowlinson Knitwear to identify their profitability. It also helps in determination of the sales
figure which is need to achieve by organisation monthly and annually. Breakeven point is
attained by the organisation when the profit and loss are equal to each other. This helps in

formulation of effective strategies which improves their sales at minimum cost and contributes in
earning of large number of profits.
In organisational context, there are many situations when organisation is need to forecast
about their production and sales figure (El-Rafei and et. Al, 2017). In this regard, Break-even
analysis plays an important role for reduction of their wastes and improvement of production
capacity. For ex., Fixed cost is 16000 and variable cost is 8 rupees per unit. Selling price is 10
per unit. BEP is calculated as:
BEP= Fixed cost/construction margin per unit or product= 16000/(10-8)= 8000.
