education, training, life and work competencies to the elements required of the unit and collect the
required evidence to prove the competencies.

learner on the outcome of the RPL application immediately.
8. If successful, a copy of the RPL application will be stored with the student file and the RPL decision will
be reflected on the training plan and student records.
9. Students may use the Complaints and Appeals Policy and Procedure if dissatisfied with the outcome
of the RPL application.

According to the discussion with manager
of Westbury Hotel, I will clean reception
area of premises. Harmful gases from
kitchen come in this area and so, in order
to solve this problem, management of
hotel changed their Chimney. According to
OHS requirement, company has to provide
healthy atmosphere at workplace. My task
was to clean knotted piled carpet of hotel
which was in poor condition and manager
asked for complete cleaning. Carpet
contained various types of soil but top soil
had the highest quantity. Cleaning will be
done through vacuum cleaner. Hotel have
to provide vacant area and hand gloves in
order to ensure safety of workers. Some
part of carpet near reception desk was
ripped before commencement of cleaning.
Information regarding this issue was given
to managers before starting cleaning
procedure.

in the kitchen. Heavy reception desk is

Staff gave orders to stop the work when
their permanent customers arrive. I

hotel was not capable to run heavy

I cleaned vacuum cleaner by using
supporting instrument which was given in
its package. The bug which store garbage
was cleaned at the time of cleaning
bearings and brush roll. Vacuum cleaner
was unplugged before performing any of
the above mentioned task because of
manufacturer specification. I repaired small
wear and tear according to the instruction
of manager. Various equipment along with
vacuum cleaner were sent to store and
placed at proper location because some of
the instruments had sharp edges which
could do injury to any person that is

was kept at a cool and clean place as
