This project focuses on developing a comprehensive staff training program for Registered Training Organizations (RTOs). The project begins with an analysis of the importance of personal development for trainers, outlining two key topics for professional development programs: the blending of online and face-to-face training, and the use of technology for flexible delivery. It then delves into research on collaborative communication and learning approaches, emphasizing the need for effective communication between trainers and trainees. The project also addresses the selection of suitable strategies for departmental needs, staff, work environment, and available resources, alongside an analysis of relevant legislation, including the Training Guarantee (Administration) Act 1990. Furthermore, it proposes two new approaches: online professional development courses and professional conversations, to foster an inclusive learning environment. The project also includes a poster presentation summarizing the key findings and a reflective journal documenting the learning process. The goal is to enhance the skills of trainers and assessors in vocational training methodology, technology use, and flexible delivery methods, ensuring they stay current with industry standards and effectively support students. This project offers valuable insights into effective staff training and development within RTO settings.
