Introduction
Russia is a European and Asian countries with Pacific and Arctic oceans and Moscow’s is the
capital of Russia. In terms of areas Russia is one of the largest country in the world that is
covering one-eighth of Earth inhabited across 17,125,200 square kilometres. There are 81.0%
Russian, 3.7%Tatar, 1.4 % Armenian and 1.1% Bashkir. Therefore, this report analysis various
economic, social and political changes within Russia and its relationship with other countries.

1.1 Changes in political environment of Russia
Since 1993, Political system of Russia is governed as federal semi presidential republic and it
was dominated by Vlamdir Putin since 2000 as prime minster or president of Russia. Vlamdir
Putin government was accused by human right group and political activists that it abuse human
rights and involved in corruption. But in response Putin stated that western styles absolute to
retain Russia as a democratic nation (Kabalina, Zelenova and Reshetnikova, 2019.). Recently
Russia is facing number of political changes as Putin has announced constitutional reform in
order to create new avenues so that Putin can rule Russia for longer period. Thus, followings
changes that were made by Putin to fast development of country are as follows :
Resignation of Government Yuri Chaika, Prosecutor General that was working since
2006 was replaced by Putin stating that their plans are beyond political system and government.
New prime minister and political commentary was appointed by Putin that has strong strategy
and grip on power for growth and development of country.
Changes in Law Putin announced national referendum that parliament have more control
and power as compared to presidential power. Thus, parliament of Russia named Duma only
appoints any prime minister for the country rather than president. Putin limit the power of
president and give more power to parliament for growth of Russian economic.
Another political change by Putin was limiting presidential terms to just two that mean
president wouldn’t have power to return after expiry of these two terms. Putin also make various
changes in power of State council and advisory body to Kremlin that was lead by Putin. So the
government and prime minister support Putin to make various changes by resigning from their
position. Putin announced that the leaders that are serving from more than 20 years has promoted
widespread speculation to Russia's political future. Globalisation and reformation of policies of
government helps in brining new changes, idea, innovation in Russia. Country can import and

export raw material at low cost from number of countries in order to manufacture products and
services at reasonable rates. But free trade also result in increase in competition and oil prices
have also increased because of various changes made by Putin.
1.2 Changes in social environment of Russia
Demographic structure of any country helps in identifying and analysing structure of
population such a number of male, female, younger generation, old people living in particular
country. Unique nature of population because of soviet empire thus Russia have historical
experience and predictive value of demographic. As per view of many knowledgable and
expertise Russia has to face lot of challenges in terms of high mortality rates and low birth rates
in coming decades.
As per statistics of Russian life expectancy of men has reduced tremendously as compared to
various previous years such as 1999 life expectancy had fallen to 59.8 years (An overview of
Russia's social, political and economic environment. 2019.). Various spread of infection or
diseases has also increased such as AIDS and multiple drug resistance tuberculosis. Thus,
population of Russia is decreased at rapid stages that impact huge on economic development and
growth (Klimenko, 2019). It was found that there are various causes of early mortality such as
excessive alcohol, childhood injuries and high rates of suicides in Russia. Government of
country pay less interest in reducing such diseases and private investment are also less in medical
technologies and drugs. Therefore, as due to high mortality rate number of ageing people and
dependency ratio is increasing at rapid speed thus company has to make diversified investment in
its capital to get maximum benefits. Russia is also facing situation of high unemployment due to
less male in order to perform various function in the society.
Health trends of people living in Russia
The country is facing lot of health issue because of high alcohol that resulting in poor
reproductive health and rise in rates of infertility. Inequality among people living in Russian
society also result in deprivation and breakdown in social cohesion. IT was also found that rates
of infection of tuberculosis has increased to 83 per 100,000 in 1998 as compared to 24 case in
1990. Country has shortage of various medical facilities as compared to other countries that have
well-equipped infrastructure and facilities in order to ensure health and safety of people
(Kulkova,Mazurkevich and Gerasimov, 2016). Cases of HIV has also increased to 53000 ranging
from 10 to 100 that also impact adversely on society and population of Russia. Educational level

of people living in Russia is also not so much effective as teacher have less knowledge about the
subjects. Thus, schools of Russia are also deteriorating day by day decreasing knowledge of
people. Technology development of country is also not appropriate that hampers enhancement of
living standard of people living in the society. But recently there are various changes that are
made in society for development and growth of economic at large scale. Inequality that prevails
in Russia has reduced to large amount due to growth and changes in political structure of
country. Due to globalization country is trying to import better medical facilities and technology
in order to ensure health and safety of people (Dmitrieva, Ilinova and Kraslawski, 2017). The
country is trying to build strong and new relationship with other neighbouring countries in order
to uplift the living standard of people. Thus, government of Russia is taking various crucial steps
to ensure health and safety of people and enhancing their living standard by importing better and
innovative medical technologies. Social mobility has also increased due to various changes in
macroeconomic of Russian federation. Many job have be generated in the society which result in
reduction of unemployment rates and structure of society has also improved. It has become
flexible so that people can exchange each others culture, tradition easily and effectively for
social growth. Russian economic is changing at raid stage in order to resolve various issue that
the country was facing in previous years. Another changes in social environment is that people
can easily travel from one country to another due to globalisation (Kust and et.al., 2018). It can
state that globalization has resolved all such issue of people that they have faced during previous
year.
1.3 Economic changes in Russia
There are various reformation in economic of Russia due to Russian Federation because
of privatization and liberalization of trade between countries. Now the economy is more stable as
compared to previous years but still inflation is a high issue that is faced by Russia. 58.9% is the
Russia freedom score that makes its 98th Frees in index of 2019 (Index of economic freedom,
2019). Russia is able to increases its revenue of country by exporting crude oil, coal and natural
gas to other countries. As per report of 2014 and 2015 unemployment rate in Russia has
increased to 3% making 4,176 people employed. Purchasing power of people in Russia has also
increased due to high employment rate and increasing in disposable income of people.
Employees of Russia have high averaged salary around RUB 250,000 per month. Digitalization
has also leads to improvement and development of Russian economic as most of the business is

able to expand by using innovative methods or marketing of products and services of companies.
New companies have developed that provides Web Development, localization and other facilities
in order to enhance living standard of people and satisfying their needs beyond their expectancy.
Russia has increase its import and export of product for growth of economy of country by
increasing competition level among existing business.
CONCLUSION
From the above analysis it can be concluded that there are various changes in economic,
politics and social environment of Russia. Putin has reformed political structure of Russia for
growth of country as it is facing many issues since many years because of reluctant leaders. It
has given more power to parliament to take various decision of the country. Government has also
tried to build new relationship with other countries in order to bring new technology in medical
facilities of people. It can also be concluded from above report that various changes in society
helps in bringing equality and uplift of standard of living of people. Whereas economic
development has lead to more investment and employment opportunities for individual to work
in an organization.
