Effects of the culture on distinct and team performance- Culture in an organization refers to the
ways adopted by the employees to complete a given task. It comprises of various beliefs, rituals,
symbols and values. It helps in the governing of the operating styles of the employees. It also
acts as direction provider and a binding factor that holds the workforce together. At times the
Ryanair can face challenges while changing the nature of their work culture .It is because of the
fact that the employees who are already working in a redefined way may not agree to the
changing nature of the business culture. Ryanair work ethos can be measured weak as certain
number of rules is strictly forced on the employees (Grant, 2016). This greatly affects the
performance of the employees toward the work. They start considering the objectives of the
organization to be different from those of their personal goals. It leads to the growth of a sense of
Attitude towards customers.
Unpredictability,
Lack of trust
Problematic common values allocation,
It is very clear from the above points that Ryanair’s employees are unable to express themselves
freely in front of the customers. This leads to an inefficient approach toward the completion of
the assigned task along with the inability to carry out customer’s request and handling queries. It
can lead to the catering of aggressive and hostile service towards clients (Madon and Krishna,
2018). In term of team performance Ryanair’s approach to provide a service with the lowest
price by minimizing the costs lead to the creation of autocratic leadership style. It further
promotes
the rigid specialization
leads to functional goals

Impact of the power and politics on individual and team performance: As the company operates
in the euro- zone countries the decision making process are greatly influenced by the political
climate. Due to the prevalence of a peaceful political climate it helps Ryanair to operate and
enable ongoing business operations in an efficient way (Swindell ,2014). Due to increase
pressure of the trade unions and no subsidy policy practiced by the Government Ryanair are
forced to work on reducing the working cost .This creates immense pressure on the employee as
an individual and as a team. This practice can lead to discontentment among the employees
related to the implementation of low wage deliver and high working hours. The taxation policy
of different countries does have a direct effect on the employees of Ryanair operating in the
respective country. It can give birth to complex operational structure. The promotion of the
tourism by different Governmental organization has greatly affected the workload of the
employees working as a team. Ryanair is a ‘value for money’ organization that provides
affordable air fares rates, with outstanding and professional customer service (Graham, 2013). It
has made Ryanair to concentrate more on giving monetary discounts by cutting the employee
benefits. It led to the creation of a volatile atmosphere within the organizational framework
where the employees working in a team are impatient and trends to shout and show disrespect
both toward the customer’s and their managers. They are deprived of certain basic facilities like
those of refreshments, uniform, airport passes, health checks, car parking spaces and leaves on
Christmas Eve. Moreover they are not even allowed to charge their communication devices at
company expense. Internal politics are greatly functional in shaping the future of the company.
Politics can be of great help in reducing errors and create a good flow of power and confidence
among the employees. It can aid them to communicate properly and effectively suggest measures
toward the solving of an issue (Gnanlet and Yayla-Kullu, 2014)

With the application of adhocracy and the clan culture Ryanair was able to contribute positive
efforts towards the free working culture that can further promote creativity, efficiency and
development of innovative ways among the employees working as a team. The work
performances of the individual employees taken together represent the organizational work
attitude. So it is the duty of the Ryanair management to take care of the essential elements that
are functional in the balancing the requirements. Otherwise it can lead to the creation of a
negative impact on the working lot. As it is important to say in this context, that Ryanair’s
growth and sustainability can only be attained by the provision of improving the knowledge and
efficiency base of the individual and team member employees. It can equip them and provide
necessary help to add creative and innovative approach while completing an assigned task
(Laureni et al, 2015).In doing so ,they need to provide the employees with necessary amenities.
