INTRODUCTION
Museum and galleries are space which is displaying the art and the form the own
collection. The museum consist of the art museums and historical museums and many more. The
galleries consist of the performance of the art and the music concerts as well. Report consist of
the health and social care responsibilities of the organization. Success aims to accomplish the
aim and the purpose. Success is varying from people to people. Every person has the different
meaning of the success. It includes the case study of the sackler family which is the owner of the
pharma company named Purdue pharma Company is dealing the drug named Oxycontin which is
provided to the patients as painkiller. The medicine has the thin coating of the drug on the
medicine so the people are consuming the tablets time and the people are suffering for the
addiction of the medicine and the death of the patients. These organizations are providing the
drug to the people but by the way of the medicine. It is an illegal act and the company is accused
of the act. So the report is wants to know about the organization is successful but it is not ethical.
It also includes the organization do to protect itself form the unethical behavior. The company is
also providing the donations to the museums and the galleries. The report want to spread the
awareness among the people which would be going to read the report.
Can an organisation be described as successful if it is not ethical
Business ethics include the study of policies and practices which are helping the
organizations to work in the efficient manner. The ethic include the rules and polices regarding
the corporate governance and insider trading as well. Through these ethics we would say that the
organization would not successful if it is working unethically. These ethics are helping the
company to work in the efficient manner and provide the services to the customers.
Business ethics at the work place is important. These ethics are important for the
employees of the organization as well as the for the organization (Crane Matten, Glozer, and
Spence, 2019). The behavior of the organization and the environment of the organization is
stating about the business environment and the company culture. Business ethics are described
below:
Integrity – sometime there is great pressure of doing right but the company need to do
maximize the profits. At that time the courage and integrity of the employee is tested. At the time
of the problem only the principles are tested and the company (Trevino and Nelson 2016).

Loyalty – loyalty of the employee is tested at the time of the problems. Trust of the
employee on the company and the customers on the company is important because if the trust is
not present, no one would do their function on time.
Honesty – honesty is important at part off time so it is important at these point of time as
well. One must not provide the wrong information to other or mislead them for the organisation.
Leadership is important because the employees in the organisation are working in the
company and the employees of the organization need to be work in the effective manner and for
that they need support and efficient leaders.
Respect and concern – It is playing the vital role in the business because many employees
which are working under someone is not provided the respect and concern through the seniors.
Every person in the organization must be treated with the respect.
Consequences of not following the business ethics
due to not following the business ethics the company would lose the reputation in the
market and also goodwill of the company would be affected. Brand image of the company is also
affected, and the productivity and sales as well. The employees of the company would not get the
job with the other companies. Not only owners but the shareholders and the stakeholders of the
company are also affected by the company performance.
As the case given in the report the company is cheating the customers and providing them
drugs and the company is also providing the charity in the museum and the galleries. What if the
company is providing the charity that charity gained is not the right amount and the company
could not be working with the ethics from past so many years. Many people have lot principles
the and the employees of the company are also affected. These employees would not be working
with the confidence as well (Ferrell and Fraedrich 2015).
Business ethics include following the rules and the regulations which are made for the
protecting the customers, employees and company as well. The company is performing good in
the market but what if the company is cheating the customers in the market. The company is only
working for gaining the profits by any cost or at the cost of the people life as well. Drug is the
addicting the people which are attracting the customers as well. The company which is
mentioned in the case is not working ethically and the company was not be described as the
successful company. So the customers would file the case against the company in the court and
drag the company to the court (Lee, and et.al., 2015).

What would the organization do to protect itself form the unethical behaviour
The unethical behaviour of the organization is affecting the company, employees and the
customers or patients. In ethical behaviour means organization or the individual is lacking the
principles and the morals as well. Due to unethical behaviour of the organization or an individual
is affecting the performance of the any and the employees. The staff which are working in the
company are affected and the performance of the company is also affected by the company
performance.
Importance of ethical behaviour
successful business depends on the employees and the managers and executives as well.
The business is also depended on the ethics, values, morals as well. Ethics are based on the rules
and the principles and values as well. The company or the individual need to follow the ethics of
the company and the company had to follow the ethics which are mentioned by the government.
Any unethical thing in the company would be harmful for the company. Due to ethics the
company would maintain the employee relations and also maintain the employees' performance
as well. The employees are happier than the customers of the company would be satisfied with
the company. The company would also increase the productivity and the sales of the company
would achieve high growth (Schrag 2015).
Values are important because any work in the organization would not be done without the
help of the values. Values are guiding the employees and the organization for achieving the task.
The products which are to be provided to the customers need to be made with the ethics and the
according to the customers. The company must look after the rules and the regulations which are
mentioned in the acts and the government. Morals are important because every work in the
organization is done through the help of the morals and the ethics as well. The company need to
work in the efficient manner with the work. Through the morals the company would perform the
task in the civilized way and also the customers would trust the company as well (Zehir and
Zehir 2020).
Laws are the most important because the company would work in the efficient manner
and the company need to complete the work in the effective way which include the laws and the
rules and regulations made for the company. Through the help of the laws the deals and the
projects are signed in the proper manner and the company would also increase the sales as well.

Any work done in the company must be done in the effective way and in the efficient way as
well. The professional code of the ethics must be followed because the employees need to follow
the professional code through that the company would improve the business environment in the
company premises and the performance of the employees would be affected.
As per the case study the company was providing the medicines to the customers and due
to that the customers was facing the problems because of the medicines of the company. The
organization was working unethically but the organization was doing charity in the museums and
the galleries. This museum and galleries are supporting the company and the act of the company.
So the museum and galleries need to look after the individual ethics and professional ethics as
well (Spence 2016). The company is not working ethically but the services are provided to the
customers. These services are having the customers and the company was collecting the profits.
So the company need to provide the services in the efficient way. The company need ot follow
the ethics and morals and follow the character as well. The customers had levied the several
cases on the company. Company was providing the charity to the museums and the galleries but
these unethical behaviour of the company was not accepted and the museums and the galleries
would not work because if the customers of the museum and the galleries were known about the
services the customers would not visit these places. So the museums and galleries would also
work in the eligible and ethical way.
CONCLUSION
The report consist of the unethical behavior of the employees and the to identify whether
the company with the unethical behavior would be successful or not. The company which is not
following the business ethics cannot be considered as the successful company because the
company need to work in the efficient manner and also foo low the rule and regulations as well.
Company given in the case must follow the rules and regulation what if the company is donating
the large amount of the museums and galleries (Bowie 2017). Company need to work in the
efficient manner and also the company would have worker according to the customers. The
companies must follow the laws and the rules and regulations as well. Sackler family was
affected by act and the employees of the company was also affected by these acts. The morals
and rules must include the be done in the effective way.

Recommendation
The organization cannot be described as successful as the if the organization is working
unethically. Company must follow the rules and the regulations which would also include the
polices which are made for the company. The company need to follow the polices and the
guidelines which include the guidelines for the employees and the employers of the company.
Organization must try to improve the communication between the employees which would also
improve the company productivity and the performance of the company. Organization must
follow the morals and values which would also improve the employees relations and the business
environment as well. The company need to work according to the code of the ethics and the also
employees must follow the code of ethics as well.
The company unethical acts has affected the company owners and mostly patients are
affected by these acts so the company must provide the compensation to the patients regarding
the unethical acts and the company need to work in the character and the integrity must be
followed by the company and the employees of the company as well. Due to these ethical values
the company would able to achieve the long term goals and the services.
The ethical values would change the image of the company in the market and also the
goodwill of the company would be increased as well. The company need to follow the ethical
standards and the set up the ethical committee which would affect the company. Company would
create the awareness among the employees and the customers that the company is working in the
ethical way. Organization must also measure the ethical standards and the monitor the standard
as well. Company must also maintain the ethical and disciplined culture in the organization.
