Safeguarding can be describe as the practices that is consider by individual for promoting
the welfare as well as protecting other form any kind of harm. There are different practices and
activities that could be conduct by individual for providing safeguarding practices. This includes
different elements which needs to be protected such as health, well being along with human
rights (Needham, 2020). It is essential to consider different laws and legislation for successfully
and effectively conducting safeguarding practices. This report will includes information about
different safeguarding interventions such as safeguarding personal, advocacy, positive risk taking
and adult family group conferences. In this report reason for using the safeguarding intervention
has been determined and consists of different legislation, guidance and evidence. Apart from this
the uses of care intervention has been evaluate.

It is significant for care provider to consider effective and efficient safeguarding practices
that will help in resolving the issues and problems. Safeguarding practices will assist in keeping
people safe from different abuse or harm or any kind of neglect. This is effective for providing
safety and security to close one, family member, friend and relative and other people. There are
different type of abuse or neglect that could impact over physical and mental health of the
person. This consist of physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, financial or material
abuse, domestic abuse, cyber abuse It is essential to consider correct and accurate safeguarding
practices with the motive of overcoming the issues or problems (Casper, 2020). It is essential
that effective and efficient safeguarding practices are considered in order to promote individual
welfare as well as enhance safety and security. There are number of safeguarding interventions
such as making safeguard personal, advocacy, positive risk taking, and adult family group
conferences and so on.
This case study is about 83 year old lady, Doris who is widow form last 10 year. She
lives alone in two bedrooms flat at first floor. Doris has one daughter, Jenny and she works in
Finance in the city. Jenny is very busy in her own work and she has to take care for her younger
son. Doris is very old and due to this she is becoming forgetful and confused day by day. Jim is
the neighbour of Doris who is helping in shopping for her. Jenny has arranged a care for her
who will help her in household chores. Precious who was carer of Doris is concerned about the

losing weight and she does not have much food in the house. Doris considers that Jim is buying
food form expensive store and she cannot afford much food. One day Doris has made allegation
that Precious is going into her purse and she does not trust anyone.
Diagnosis can be described as process of identifying the problem of examination of the
symptoms. Doris is the old age adult that who is facing issues in remembering and forgetting.
Old age memory loss is the diagnosis that needs to be consider in the case of Doris. If correct
measure and intervention is not taken that it will lead to create harm to her. Because of the issues
Doris find it has to carry out day to day activities and go to church.
