INTRODUCTION
Strategic performance management is consider as a comprehensive approach that can aids
business to accomplish goals as well as objectives. It starts with firm’s strategic plan as well as
follows all the ways by which workers supports that plan. There were several numerous
disciplines that called themselves performance management (Nikulin, & et.al., 2020). It begins
with the firm’s vision as once it can determine what a firm’s trying to accomplish than the
services associated with performance management services can aids everyone within firm linked
up with support of such objectives. Or in other words it is a management that cultivates a work
environment to the requirement of the staff members. It is noticed that any workplace that have
any interdependency amongst its workforce can have advantages from strategic management.
Firms that ignore this facet suffers firm unmet goals, a loss of time as well as resources and also
leads to the unsolved differences and conflicts. Within workplace it can increase the effective
collaboration and efficiency in order to complete the tasks.
MAIN BODY
It has been analysed that claims are made by industries in order to ensure that health and
safety is maintained. There is a proper system through which claim is made and then proper
action is taken. Likewise, in construction industry there has been many claims which is made.
Here, it is found that claim was made regarding work related injury (Dahler-Larsen, & et.al.,
2020). This was due to ineffective working environment and lack of health safety tools and
equipments. Moreover, in claim it is written that worker get injured due to improper training
regarding health and safety. They does not know what things are there in it and how to protect
themselves in it. the claim has been made by many employees who have suffered injury in it.
they are blaming company on not to have relevant safety measures in it. besides that, no proper
health act is followed and measure are taken in it. in construction industry there are various
claims which are made in ACC of new Zealand. The claim is regarding health and safety
measured which are not taken in effective way. It has to be change in process or method
followed and how claim is made. Basically, there is proper framework or structure of making
claim. It depends on ACC guidelines in it and what changes are done. It appears that resources
historically used to fund occupational health and safety monitoring and analysis are no longer
3

used in this way: the Department of Labour no longer regularly contracts analytical and
monitoring services. A small number of organisations and mechanisms exist to enable access to
technical advice and expertise on a range of occupational health and safety issues. This capacity
is provided across a number of levels including localised and national level services (Zielińska, ,
& Bajdur, 2019).
Analysis of occupational health intervention
Occupational health focuses on the field regarding health that focuses mainly on the issues of
safety and welfare of the people within firm. It means that now firms focusing more on giving
safe as well as healthy environment to the people within workplace so that they can work more
religiously and with more concentration. It is considered that making a safe environment is one
of the main goal of the occupation health so that they can easily protect their consumers,
workers as well as their family members (Baldassarre, & et.al., 2020). In order to make them
protect from safe as well as protect them from any accidents there are some of the common law
of duty that require to be followed as well as considered through all staff members within
workplace. Some of the health as well as safety problems includes such as back injury, high
noise, heat stress ,obesity, injury occurred due to unclean floors, unfixed railing and many more.
State law is known as one of the main acts that can focuses on various duties that are applied on
the firms so that they can regulate workplace safety. So it can be focused that to makes as well as
imposed effective intervention work occupational health as well as safety. It also analysis that in
order to impose effectiveness as well as performance where the intervention plan is more
effective as well as employees within workplace are also feels more safe and prevented regarding
injury. An effective plan also has information that will accountable for the managing health , for
which accidents and injury are liable as well as polices is needed to be applied. Within such
context it is found that it is not possible for directive to give data regarding how to manage the
psychological work environment so regarding for such purpose national polices also have been
developed within some nations such as management standards within New Zealand and United
Kingdom and many more. Within such strategy it has been implied to the firm-level occupational
health interventions regarding to improves the employee health and also their well being in order
to make employees to the change the way of their work as it can be more organized as well as
managed (Kim, Park, & Park, 2016). .

Various steps regarding successful implementation of intervention involves such as preparation
screening of action plan , psychological risks, analysis as well as implementation of results. One
of the major work that require to be done through working members as well as managers is to
determine the intervention process such as who can be liable regarding project, how all people
will be informed within such activities regarding development Within such context of Fletcher
building ltd New Zealand consist as second largest construction firm as well as now Australia’s
Fletcher building ltd subsidiary needs to maintain a healthy work environment at the workplace
so that to retain their workers for long number of hours as well as engage them for several
benefits.
Process measures through CDC model- It is a framework that can aids manager of Firm in
order to measure the performance as well as effectiveness regarding intervention plan of
occupation health as well as safety. As per this manager also recognizes the level of stakeholder
engagement level, increment within performance level, productivity level of workers. It is also
noticed that working within more positive as well as effective working environment. It enables
and boosts staff members to focus within their work that can improves performance as well as
also increased the overall productivity also. Through knowing as well as comparing level of
workers can recognizes as well as measures the effectiveness regarding intervention. It is noticed
that if there is an increase within performance level of the staff then it means that the
intervention plan is effective. In addition to this if the employees performance is not good or it
can be giving poor performance that means they are facing issues as well as facing problems
within concentration in functions in occupational health as well as safety. As per productivity,
performance level as well as engagement level of stakeholders, firms can also make various
implementation plan through improving some of the polices that enables them to makes an
environment which is more effective.
Occupational health and safety management system- In New Zealand it is consider as one of
the effective tool that can be used for assuring more safety as well as effectiveness of the
performance intervention. Within such context, it is also stated that Fletcher building ltd of New
Zealand also highlights on leadership in order to analysis the effectiveness the extent, where
tools are performing within a way to minimizes the injuries and accidents (da Silva, & Amaral,
2019)

Regression model- It is known as one of the main model that can developed for predicting
safety outcomes regarding intervention and also consider as more effective. According to this
model manager of the firm needs to recognizes relationship between independent and dependent
variables. Managers also needs to make a list of all workers those have been impacted by the
occupational health and illness while working within firm before as well as after applied of
regression model. Through recognizing several differences within rate of illness as compare
before as well as after implementing plan, through it managers can measures the effectiveness.
As decrease within the rate of illness of employees within organization after applied such models
makes them enable to know more regarding that whatever they applied the models are effective
or not as comparatively if there were no changes within the rate of illness then there is a need of
makes improvement as well as changes within strategies and also the plan called implementation
plan (Barbosa, Azevedo, & Rodrigues, (2019)
Employee’s retention rate- For the better analysis regarding intervention within occupational
health as well as safety manager of firm require to compare employees retention rate and their
engagement as because it is one of the vital factor as well as ways of measuring ways of
performance which is more effective. It is noticed that there is an increase rate of the employees
retention which so directly proportional to the firm’s working environment because workers are
the one’s who more like to stay within firm as well as implement the better polices for health as
well as safety. Thus by measuring as well as comparing staff member’s retention rate before as
well as after , it can easily measured the performance of the workers
So, it requires some improvement in it so that appropriate method is applied and
evaluation is done. Here, process and impact evaluation method can also be applied. With both
these methods it will be easy to find out impact of claim as well. There will allow in obtaining
outputs in relevant way. Thus, on basis of impact compensation can be made. The process
evaluation will enable in evaluating claim in systematic way and in step by step manner.
It has been evaluated that for work place injury claims there are some implications which
can be related to occupational safety (Schulte & et.al., 2018). Due to the implications it becomes
difficult to find out what things are required in it and how to manage and provide compensation
on that claim. Due to claim it has been found that health and safety is measured in relevant way.
For that legal framework is applied and it has led to giving outcomes of claim in it. So it can be
focused that to makes as well as imposed effective intervention work occupational health as well

as safety. It also analysis that in order to impose effectiveness as well as performance where the
intervention plan is more effective as well as employees within workplace are also feels more
safe and prevented regarding injury. An effective plan also has information that will accountable
for the managing health , for which accidents and injury are liable as well as polices is needed to
be applied.
Limitation of report
It is evaluated that there are certain limitation of claim report due to which the laws of
country can not be implied. Also, it is stated that claim does not provide relevant data or info on
basis of which staff injury can be identified in Fletcher building ltd. Besides that, there are some
laws which are integrated within culture of country legal framework and it ensure that legal
action is not taken against it. thus, there are some limitation of report such as health and safety at
work act 2015 applied in 2016 (Podgórski, 2020). so, task force made for this department of
health and safety was having idea that no measures were taken in it and it was failing. Thus
changes were made into it and this led to rise in safety measures at workplace. Furthermore,
in report it is stated that Fletcher building ltd followed the 2 convention of occupational health
and safety that are convention 155 and 138. Therefore, it decision taken was by department of
labour and was as per policy framework. Here,, another limitation is of report is that company
has already implied safety laws which were as per framework and things in it were not proper. In
addition, it has been identified the claim made was not according to procedure defined in it. so,
as per the law of new Zealand claim is only valid when it is done as per procedure defined.
Apart from that, another limitation of report it no management or any other person is involved in
making decision regarding claim made . therefore, on basis of that it is evaluated that report
consists of few limitations.
Is claim reasonable on info provided
In order to make a claim regarding occupational health and safety there is need to have
relevant and precise info regarding it. this is because on basis of info claim is made that how
much injury is done, and compensation is decided. Along with that, it gives insight to ACC that
claim made is valid or not and why things are changed in it. in addition to that info included
in it can be presented as proof to government. Besides that, having limited info has makes it
difficult to make decision on it. moreover, info contains of facts and figures related to claim
and what measures are taken in it (Sanchez, & et.al., 2017). there is also need to analyse things in

it. so, it is found that in present claim it is not reasonable as there is not relevant data and info
in it. the main information provided is regarding injury occurred and to number of employees.
Also, it is mentioned abut time and date. But there is no source of info mentioned in claim.
Furthermore, it is not mentioned in it that what safety measures are taken by Fletcher building
ltd and outcomes obtained from it. there is need to make thins
Thus, it is found that there are certain things which needs to be included in making
claim. Here first is relevant and precise information of claim that how injury occurred, when
where, etc. this will be easy to analyse claim and then make a decision. Then, another thing to be
included in it is inspection report done by government officials and what decision is taken by
them. The information will provide proper data to analyse claim and make decision in it.
alongside another info needed is related to personal details of worker and on what basis claim
is made. This means regarding safety measure, act or rules and regulation followed, by
company. The main thing will be related to making of claim and giving purpose of it. apart from
that, there needs to be include other evaluation types as well in it. they are formative, process and
impact evaluation method (Nikulin, & et.al., 2020). In this each level is having a different
method to be used and applied in it so that things are analysed easily. Other than this, the
elements in each process is different and contribute to positive results. The main thing here is
change in way of making decision in it and evaluate claim. Here, info gathered in it varies from
one another. So, through formative evaluation it will be easy to make evaluate claim in formal
way. However, with process it will be analysed due to which ineffective process claim is
occurred and what methods were not taken in it. and then last impact evaluation will find out
impact of claim due to occupational safety practice within Fletcher building ltd. Therefore, it will
be easy to make claim reasonable and allow things to be evaluated.
There are some recommendations which needs to be followed in it so that occupational
health and safety is maintained in Fletcher building ltd and claim is made properly. It is
necessary that they need to make and assign everyone the responsibilities because company
cannot comply with the guidelines of the act alone and improve their reputation in the market.
Officers of the company such as partners, directors, members of the board and executives of the
chief must make sure that there is diligence so that it can be assessed that they understand the
level of responsibilities of health and safety (Baldassarre, & et.al., 2020). They need to guide
their workers to look after their own health as it is not possible that company can look after

everyone and manage other work too. The more they cooperate and the more they follow the
instructions they will be working under the policy which will ensure that the act is being
implemented and intervened properly.
CONCLUSION
From the above it had been concluded that Occupational health within workplace main goal
can easily protect their consumers, workers as well as their family members. Report focuses on
make them protect some of the common law of duty that require to be followed ,obesity, injury
occurred due to unclean floors, unfixed railing as safety problems includes such as impose
intervention plan that feels more safe and prevented regarding injury. It gives Process measures
through CDC model as where manager also recognizes the level of stakeholder Engagement
level, increment within performance level to increased the overall productivity also. It also
focused on Occupational health and safety management system highlights on leadership in order
to analysis the effectiveness of the tools are performing within a way to minimizes the injuries
and accidents, Regression model where Managers also needs to make a list of all workers those
