Question 1: Given Fei’s daughter has found her unconscious on the floor, discuss the
first aid management in this scenario.
Ans. There are some steps which can be taken to first aid the person who is unconscious
which is in case of Fei’s these steps are mentioned below
First her daughter has to check that Fei’s Airway breathing and circulation (Sicherer and
Simons, 2017).
1. If it seems that there is no spinal injury then the person have to be put in a recovery
position where the position of the person is stated below:
 Position the Fei’s lying face up.
 Turn the person face towards you.
 Take the person arm that is closest to you and place it to her side talking it under the
buttock.
 Take the person's other arm and place it across her chest.
 Then press the chest by ankles where the person leg over the real life.
2. The third step in the process is to keep the person warm until the emergency medical
services arrived.
Question 2: Fei has arrived at the hospital and the scan shows a bleed in the brain. On
return from the scan, Fei becomes unconscious again, this time she has also stopped
breathing. Explain the process of the DRSABCD action plan?
Ans. DRSABCD action plan
 Danger: here it is to ensure that area is safe for the person who is treating the patient
as well as other person and patient.
 Response: here the person treating to the patient must check the response by asking
the name using the shoulders and make comfortable to the patient by monitoring the
response (Australia, 2020)
 Send: in this step, the people have to call ambulance or ask the other person to make a
call.
 Airway: here is open mouth airway must be given to the patient where it can get any
recovery position and can get a fresh air by his mouth.
 Breathing: in this point there is to check the breathing of the person by looking
listening and feeling if it is not breathing then there is requirement of CPR.
 CPR: in this point there is starting of the CPR if the person is not breathing where 30
times chest compressions by the help of two brief is necessary. This have to be done
till breathe of the patient arrive or recover.
 Defibrillation: this is the process with deflation will be allowed to the person and
following the voice commands of this process.

Question 3: During the resuscitation, your manager on shift was at a meeting and is
unaware of what happened. Are you required to inform them of what has occurred

Ans. Make the message clear: It is important to make the message clear where the use of
minimum words and user impressive vernacular to present the information in simplest and
clear manner so that manager can understand about the whole situation and can take the
action according to it for saving the life of the patient as well as managing different resources

Ans. For serving the patient effectively as well as managing my best I used to go with a
perfect plan which will help me in managing the stress and is mentioned below:
 Identifying and address in the problem effectively so that I can provide adequate
treatment to patient.
 Taking care of myself so that infection cannot spread as well as I can reduce the stress
by the power of exercise active relaxation (Hartmann and Driessen, 2017).
 Deal with the personal emotions where I can take intense vaccination as well as
release the emotional tension.

 I will lift the patient by the help of my leg rather than my back.
 Try to remember that pushing is easier than pulling and doing so.
 Will call help if it is necessary because it seems that the patient is heavier than it look
so to reduce the chances of injury I will prefer to call (Needleman, 2017).
 Try to understand my instruction to the patient and if it is in consciousness.
 Hold the patient close to my body so that I can support and make stability within his
or her body.
 Use a joint belt when it is wanted to provide it balance to the patient and prevent the
patient as well as myself from the injury within the back.
Question 6: You are unable to find the equipment required to assist Fei. Discuss the
process that needs to be taken and what you as an Enrolled Nurse should consider.
Ans. Here is the process of nursing which is important for nurses to implement on the patient
while treating them.

 Assessment: in this point, there is use of a proper systematic and dynamic way to
collect and analyse the data about the client where the services of nursing has to be
provided them.
 Diagnosis: diagnosis important part as it will help in clinical judgement about the
client response to the actual potential health conditions or required conditions. It will
help in identifying the pain within the patient as well as cause of the problem.
 Outcome and planning: based on the above assessment and diagnosis there is the time
to identify different outcomes and plan to solve this outcome where the nurses at the
measurable achievable short and long range goals for the patient which will include
the moving from back to chair at least three times per day and maintaining adequate
nutrition (Sciacca and Reville, 2016).
 Implementation: Indus tribe nursing care will implement according to the care plan so
that contains care can be done of the patient as well as the benefits related to

 Evaluation: what is the last step in this process where the evaluation of the status of
client must be done by the nursing staff to increase their caring capacity as well as
