Introduction
Advanced technologies, global business and increased in competitive environment, force
organisations to reinvent its working functions. It also forces to re-strategise the plan and re-
thinks the process to organise the business in the global market. The organisation needs to focus
on the several factors that can affect its workforce like micro and macro factors. In addition to
this the organisation needs to provide all such facilities to the staffs to fulfil their expectations
and its own needs in terms of increase in productivity and expansion of the business in global
market.
Sainsbury is the second biggest chain of supermarket in UK founded by John James Sainsbury in
1869. It consists of various supermarkets, forecourt, and hypermarket (Sainsburys.co.uk., 2019).
The study is about the dynamic changing nature of the company according to the global business
market.

There are two environment factors, which are micro and macro environment affect the business
changing its operations according to the environment. Micro-environmental factors are like
suppliers, customers, resellers, general people and the competitors. A good supplier can control
the success of an organisation holding power of supplying. The customers buy the products only
focusing on its qualities and standards. The resellers are the intermediates of the organisation as
if the resellers have reputation in the global market then the profit of the organisation will come
through the resellers like retailer, wholesalers. The organisation should take care of the general
public ensuring that any of the activities creating in the work place will not affect the lives of the
general public. Finally, the competitors are the organisations that operate as same as the
organisation. Hence, the organisation needs to set its activities like cost structures of the
products, product differentiation and practices implemented in the workplaces.
The macro-environmental factors are consisted of technological forces, social forces, economical
forces, political, and many more. The technological forces are technologies used in the
operations of the business to increase productivity and fast delivery of services. Social forces are
the acceptance of the products and services in the market by customers. Any products that are
hazardous for the society should be eliminated from the market to increases its customer number.
Economical factors are the environments that can affect both the operation of the organisation
and on making decision on the functions of the business in the global market. The Political
forces are the rules and regulations of laws governed by the countries government that should be
followed in the workplace of the organisation to maintain its legal environment (Nielsen et al.,
2018).
Hence, the Sainsbury’s has to change its working functions according to the different factors
affected in its business to expand in the global market. The management should take care of the
various factors like maintaining its channels, implementing the laws, and taking care of its work
forces.
