External factors are those factors which are uncontrollable by the company and need to
be change adapt by company time to time. These factors also affect the decision-making process
of the company directly and achieving of objective and goals. Sainsbury manager and leaders
forecast the future changes that may occurred due to external factor and decision are made
accordingly to earn the profits and accomplish the target of company (Bienhaus and Haddud,
2018). The external factors which affect decision-making process are: Economical factor: Major of the decision-making affect due to economic conditions of
the country and company. The inflation or deflation of country may affect the company
decision-making regarding investment, return on investment, cost of production and
prices of goods. Stakeholders: This factor the related parties which had involvement in the company and
include government, equity holders, customers, suppliers, employees etc. This party
make investment only when the desire return they earn from their investment in the
company and affect decision-making process in investment. The managers forecast the
future changes in company which may affect the investment process and avoid such
circumstances. Legal and political factor: This factors affect due to change government parties and legal
policies regarding working in country and led to change in decision according to their
policies, rules and regulation implied by government. The manager and leaders need to
change their decision according to their policies to maintain position in market (Vidgen,
R., Shaw, S. and Grant, D.B., 2017).
Technological faction: The manager need to updated their technology time to time with
the changing environment in country. This decision is updated with the change in
technology to avoid lose and to earn the profits by reducing the cost of productions.
Sainsbury are adopted these changes when managers and Leaders forecast the future and
change plan accordingly.

The operational manager coordinate with all other department for smooth work flow and
to attain the target objective of the company. Operations focus on the aliening the operations
with company objective and direct the company towards the goal. The operational work in an
efficient manner that help to achieve the objective and goal of Sainsbury. These approaches used
by managers and leader in business are:1. Classic Management approach: This approach focus on worker and organization based
on operational management. This approach looks for economic efficiency and include

needs. Organization are adopted this approaches to provide safe and healthy environment
for employees. It also brings the self-confidence workforce by appreciation, recognition
by monetary and non-monetary factors. These motivate employee to work for the
organization and increase their loyalty towards the work that assist to achieving the target
goal.3. Participative approach: It is approach used to for decision-making in the organization by
taking feedbacks from the team members and employees of company. The involvement
of employees is being made by mangers and leaders which not only motivate the
employees, but also make an effective decision towards the situation. This led to achieve
one steps towards the company objective.
4. Paternalistic leadership: the relationship between leader and their member is like strong
and which is protected and guided by their leaders in a company to complete their task
within time. This approaches shows how good relation is maintained by leader to their
