PESTLE analysis is done in order to describe structure of macro-

of strategic element. PESTLE includes of several factors like Political,
Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental (Shalhoub et
al., 2017). In case of marketing industries, it is necessary to conduct a
situational analysis before implantation of any tactic plans and PESTLE
analysis is a part of that and it should be conducted in a regular basis to
recognise the changes in macro environment. In the presentation, a
PESTLE analysis will be conducted on the Sainsbury’s company to
determine the factors affected in its business.
Sainsbury’s is the second largest chain of supermarket in the UK. The
company was founded by John James Sainsbury in 1869. The company is
included with several superstores, forecourt shops, supermarkets and
convenience shop across the world (Sainsburys.co.uk., 2019).
