INTRODUCTION
Project management refers to the process of leading team in an order to achieve the
objectives and goals within the given time period. There is a need for the following project
documentation as by which all the goals or objectives are clear and primary constraints are time,
budget and scope (Carneiro, Silva and Alencar, 2018). It helps the company in order to assign
the responsibilities and roles to the members of team which helps to carry on the work in an
effective and efficient manner. It is the application of methods, processes, knowledge, skills and
experience in order to achieve the objectives of the specific project within agreed parameters
according to the project acceptance criteria. In the present report, Salisbury House project has
taken into consideration which provides the collection of education, historic house museums,
event organisation services and other cultural benefits. In this report based on the assessment 1
critical success and failures will be analysed. In addition to this what the company has learnt will
be explained and furthermore to this, recommendations will be given. Apart from this, lastly the
reflective report of the project will be given considering the career path in project management
highlighting the skills.

Success Factors:
Internal Leadership: The skills, legitimacy and dedication of people who take internal
leadership in bringing up the community is the most important factor in order to longevity and
determining the quality of the community. In context to Salisbury House Project, when it is
starting a new community, finding members who are willing and ready to take on a leadership
role in order to nurturing the community is the most necessary step (Haidabrus, Grabis and
Protsenko, 2021).
Clear goals and objectives: It is important for the company to get successful in its business
operation for that it is necessary to determine the company's mission and its long and short term

to make the more effective business planning so that which can be executed properly. For this
company need to work properly on its plan and analyse its future consequences in advance only
so that it can be successfully implemented. The company has also learnt from its failure that it
need to be work on providing managerial skills and training programmes which is necessary for
the company to learn and make sure to provide in order to get successful in the future. The
company also need to change the thinking which is must to get the success and overcome from
its failures as it is very important (Sanchez, 2021). It requires a mental reset in order to succeed
after a bad or poor business decisions. The biggest chance for growing and learning comes in the
response. Responding to a failure will builds the leadership skills and muscles. It will help the
company to learn from failure that it forces to fight, find new ways in order to motivate the team,
to think creatively or explore the solutions that had not considered before. In contrast to this,
staying in the failure mode will only invite more failures rather than success. It can pivot failure
into the growth as this will help the company in the long run for the operations of its business. It

someone in the company come up with the good idea then don't be afraid to implement it and see
that how it will work out effectively. As it will the company to encourage and motivate the
employees for the better work and they can utilise their full potential in order to make the
company success for the long run in the market.
Encourage Relationship Among Co-workers: Within the office when the company build
community then for everyone the environment will be pleasant and fewer employees will be
missing the work. It is necessary for the company like Salisbury House project to encourage the
relationship among the co-workers as they wanted to make the coming in ton work enjoyable.

The skills which I required to be an effective project manager are described as under:
Communication skills: To be a project manager, I need to gain communication skills
because it is one of the most important skills that are required to for the project manager.
These skills are necessary for me to communicate with the team members and the
stakeholders. The skills includes the verbal and written communication in front of the
group members. A good communicator provide clear direction to the team members and
create expectations for them to be more productive and efficient. It help in creating
awareness among the team member and provide a sense of direction to them.
Negotiation skills: This skills are also important for the project manager because it
enable me to negotiate or deal with the suppliers, vendors, clients and stakeholders. It
help me in influencing the team members and encourage them to work towards the goal
of the organisation. It will help me to apply the different negotiation style according to
the situation and make me more experience and efficient. It develop the skills of
negotiation how to provide solution to benefit the organisation.
Time management skills: I need to improve the time management skills for becoming
an effective project manager. It helps me in managing time and prioritise the task that are
essential for the project manager. I will be able to define task to the team members and
make them stay on the task. It assists me in avoiding procrastination and complete the
work in time. This will assist me in enhancing the productivity and minimising the
distraction while performing the functions of the business. The project are time sensitive
so it is needed to be completed in time abiding by the deadline of the projects.
Leadership skills: This is very effective skills which I need to gain to become a project
manager. It make ma able to lead, inspire and motivate the team members while making
the projects. This skill allow me to boost the confidence level of the team members and
encourage them top accomplish the goals of the business in time. This skills help me to
form or manage team and also communicate well to the stakeholders. As an effective
project manager, I will be able to make valuable decision and make me capable to
delegate the responsibility and make the team accountable for the assigned responsibility.
