INTRODUCTION
The Salon management means to manage the salon related activities and manage the
recruit the staff who have the full knowledge about the salon activities. The Bella beauty salon ,
is providing the all facilities related to the salon. The salon plan the operational objectives for the
management. The Salon allocate the staff in to the departments so that the employees can
perform well.
TASK 1
1.1 Planning operational objectives for management of services and products
Bella Beauty salon will make the plan in such a way that would meet the operational
objectives for the management of products and services. The plan includes:
Good staff allocation
Improvement in production
Use of advanced technology
Providing training
Dividing the staff among departments
1.2 Data that will be used in management planning
Data that will be used in planning of Bella Beauty Salon would be primary and secondary
both (Jelihovschi, Alves and Corrêa, 2011). The primary data will be collected through survey
with taking assistance of tool of questionnaire and secondary data will be gathered through
internet, newspapers and magazines. Through the same, Salon would do planning in an effective
manner. Qualitative data method will be effective for Bella Beauty Salon because it is related to
customers feelings and they have to provide a proper environment and facilities by making
changes in organisation.
1.3 Allocating staff
The Salon allocate at least 20 staff and divide the staff according to their skils.
For achieving the operational objectives, it is required for Bella Beauty Salon to allocate
the staff that would have proper knowledge and skills as per needed to work in a salon. Recruit
those staff who have the full knowledge and the practical knowledge about the salon related
activities. And they also know about the customer service. In the Salon, the customer service is
the most important element.

The methods of stock control, maintenance and the replacement are Just in time and
Economic order quantity and the first in- first out method that will be used (Medlin, 2013). From
these methods, salon would easily maintain the inventory control and analyse the maintenance of
same as well.
1.7 Evaluate tools, stock level, facilities and the equipment
In Bella Beauty Salon, there should be enough stock of products, tools and equipment
like chairs, scissors, towels and facilities including spa, haircutting and hair wash. and the Salon
provide the Rooms facilities. Bella Beauty Salon will be needed to provide the satisfactory
services to its customers. It is essential for the organisation to keep their towels clean for their
customers on which they are working properly. They are using computer application to maintain
their stock level of different types of creams, gel, conditioner, shampoo, hair serum, straighter,
hair spray, dry shampoo etc. which helps them to provide services any time.
1.9 Importance of planning operational objectives
The operational objective of the Salon is to provide the better quality iof services to the
customers. The importance of planning is that it will help in doing work in a systematic way.
From effectual planning, salon will easily manage its products and services. From the planning,
salon will manage the operational objectives and provide better services to its customers (Bailey,
at.el.,, 2011).
1.10 Way in which data will be used in management planning
From the data, management will take decision regarding the requirements in Salon and
then allocate resources according to the same. With the help of management planning, business
will come in position to manage the resources and the tools in a systematic and effectual manner.
1.11 Allocation of staff
To achieve the operational objective, allocate the staff in to the different group, from this
the work load will be reduced and they perform well. Like ibn the Salon there are 20 staff, the 4
persons are appointed in the hair cutting activities, 3 persons are appointed for the spa, 4 girls for
wax purpose, 1 for reception and 1 for maintain the accounts, etc.

The requirements for staff will be like; staff should be expert in the field of salon like hair
cutting, wax, hair spa, massage, hair wash, etc. The staff must have the full knowledge about the

1.13 Outline the criteria
The review of the client records, client consultations and the services will be reviewed by
preparing or by recording data or information in the system related to clients and their services
(Barr and Gunawardena, 2012). In the modern time, there are some software in which company
can easily save data and information related to customers.
1.14 Way to maintain the stock level, tools and equipment in salon
To maintain the stock level, tools, equipment and facilities then the salon have to
information about stock level and equipment in the Salon and then check all the inventory,
equipment and the tools and after that record the stock level and equipment in the system. With
the help of these it is easy to maintain the equipment, tools and the stock level.
2.3 Using workforce planning
From the workforce planning, employee’s requirements will be assessed in terms of
healthy working environment, timely bonus and motivating employees by the way of
performance appraisal and through effective communication.
2.5 Communication and management style
In Bella Beauty Salon, communication between the employees and manager should be
good and if the communication of the manager will be good then in this case the employees will
work proper and on timely (ZHAI, et.al.,2010). The communication must be formal and depend
on the situation. And the manager use the good managing style from that helps in manage the
Salon effectively. And the management style should be the democratic and the consultative.

manager should be professional. The work of the Salon should be in the professional way.
2.2 Implement safety and health practices in line with relevant legislation
There is the need to the Salon to make the safety and health related practices and then
implement them in the better manner (Todd, 2010). So that the employees shall feel safe in the
Salon. From the safety and health practices, if there is any problem to the worker in then
company then, the workers make sure that the employer protect him/her form the any accident.

quality of the services to its customers. And this Salon makes the Plan related to the operational
