1CSR OF SAMSUNG COMPANY IN AUSTRALIA
Corporate Social Responsibility is concluding commercial success in ways that
appreciate ethical values, human beings, society, communities, and natural environment.
Corporate Social Responsibilities is the practice of companies accommodating ethical,
environmental, social issues into their operations.
Samsung is a South Korean multinational company mainly exports a wide range of
electronics products throughout the world. As a global corporate, the company tries to fulfill
its social responsibilities and try to create innovative electronics products without affecting
social and environmental values. This company manages all the stakeholders such as
investors, customers, employees, society, local communities, and media appropriately. To
maintain the Corporate Social Responsibilities, this company focused on several core values,
like people, excellence, change, integrity, and co-prosperity. In Australia, this company
started supporting forty-eight schools through innovative STEM program (Jon and Chung
2013). STEM is the new curriculum to learn science, mathematics, engineering, and
technology from an applied perspective. Many Australian students from low socio-economic
communities are getting the benefits of this STEM program. With the help of the Samsung
Company, Social Ventures Australia has created Bright Spots School Connection STEM
learning hub (Samsung au, 2019). The Samsung Company and Social Ventures Australia
have been trying to ensure that all students from the low socio-economic area have easy
access to this STEM education.
This approach of Samsung Company is appreciable. Australian students from low
socio-economic communities cannot afford proper and modern education system. For them
getting benefits from this program is very much helpful. The Transition of Australia towards
the economy driven by innovation will get benefits from this program.
