1. Introduction
1.1. Samsung’s Background
Samsung is South Korean company. Samsung has market share all over the world. They have
their subsidiary at Singapore as well. The company is popular in selling home electronic
products like the TVs, smartphone, tablets and smartphone appliances. In the year 2009, they
launched their first smartphone. They are providing excellence for long time and recently
they come up with Samsung Galaxy On Nxt. The project report demonstrates a launch
program for the phone. Samsung Galaxy On Nxt runs on Android 7.0.
1.2. Project Description – Brief Overview
Marina Bay Sands is one of the Singapore resorts located in front of Marina Bay. The resort
was founded in 2010. The resort is known as the expensive casino of the world. Samsung
Singapore has decided to organise the one day phone launch event at Singapore. The sponsor
will demonstrate the phone and will explain the features. The VIP guests will deliver some
speech on various aspects and usability feature of the phone. Special food and drinks have
been arranged for the event. The successful demonstration of the phone will give them the
competitive edge and their productivity will surely increase.
2. Project Scope
2.1. Project Objective
The main objective of the project is to organise a 1 day Samsung Galaxy On Nxt exhibition
launch event at MBS Hotel in Singapore. The smartphone has come up with some amazing
features. The project manager and his team have been given the responsibility to launch the
phone so that it can increase the productivity and market share of Samsung in Singapore. The
project manager and other associated stakeholders arrange foods and beverages, sound
system and refreshment for the 1 day event. VIP guests have been invited. The sponsors and
the VIP guests will offer speech and will demonstrate the phone. The successful exhibition of
the smartphone can give Samsung the business edge.
2.2. Deliverables
The project manager and the associated stakeholders are responsible for organising the 1 day
exhibition launch event successfully. MBS Hotel has been chosen to organise the event. The
project stakeholders decorate the hall and arrange special door gifts for the guests. They
arrange special food and beverages. The project manager and associated stakeholders also
arrange sound system and refreshment program. The Samsung Director along with the VIP
guests will offer a speech on Samsung Galaxy On Nxt. They will demonstrate the unique and
the attractive features of the phone so that the customers can have a new experience.

2.3. Milestones
The project manager and his team, the associated stakeholders, will require about 2 months
organising 1 day Samsung Galaxy On Nxt exhibition launch event. The whole arrangement is
expected to start by 19 March, 2018. The 1 day event will be held on 14 May, 2018 at MBS
Hotel, Singapore.
2.4. Technical Requirements
Samsung Galaxy On Nxt phone must be in working condition. The phone should work
flawlessly in front of a vast audience. The decorator and the electrician must decorate the hall
with lights and sound system. The projector and laptop must work well in the event. All the
system must work efficiently at the event, only then the event will become successful.
2.5. Limits and Exclusions
Some limitations are there associated with the project. A large number of Singapore audience
will be deprived of participating in the event. The event is being organised at SMB Hotel, one
of the luxurious Hotel of Singapore.
2.6. Review with Customers
Samsung Singapore is hoping that they will be able to launch the program successfully. They
will explain all the attractive and the unique features of the phone at the launch event.
Samsung Galaxy 7 fails to impress the people. Dr Oh-Hyun Kwon, CEO of Samsung
Singapore is hoping that Samsung Galaxy On Nxt will impress people and will fulfil the
demands of the customers. The customers and the guests present at the event will give
feedback. The feedback will help Samsung to update the phone and design the phone as per
customers’ demands. The media will be invited to the event. They will cover the entire event.
In this way, they can reach to millions of customers alongside Singapore. They will give
valuable feedback on Samsung website. Thus the successful 1 day event launch can facilitate
marketing of Samsung Galaxy On Nxt at Singapore.
3. Project Priorities
The project priority and project priority matrix helps to know which criteria are constrained.
It also helps us to know the criteria that can be enhanced and that can be accepted.
Constrain: The exhibition event launch have been scheduled to complete within stipulated
deadline. All the arrangements must be made within the deadline, so that the 1 day event can
become successful.
Enhance: Determining the scope of the project, it is analysed the criterion which must be
carried out efficiently to get desired outcome. The projector, laptop and the chosen Samsung
Galaxy On Nxt must be in well working condition. The catering service and the

entertainment programme that have been planned for the event must be organised. The
sponsor must think to deliver the speech in a better such that it can attract the customers. In
this way they can successfully organise the event.
Accept: The customers present can provide negative feedback. They can raise any
challenging questions. The sponsors must be ready to accept the challenge and must carefully
handle the difficult situation.
