INTRODUCTION
Organizational behavior is the confined study of the human behavior in the
particular situation and condition which help to understand the interaction of the humans
in the organization. The present report will cover the influence of culture; politics and
power have on the behavior of others in Samsung. Samsung is the most famous
Korean multinational corporation and comprising numerous affiliated businesses and all
united under Samsung brand.
This brand is the most developed, innovative and become the global company of
world and are having 300000+ employees and to manage such a large employee base
in almost all the countries of the world. These employees and organizational behavior of
Samsung is the biggest key factor in the company’s success.
The report will also throw some light on the content and process theories of
motivation and the techniques enabling effective achievement of goals of Samsung. At
the end of the report applying concept and philosophies of oath goal theory of
leadership within Samsung and evaluating the relevance of team development theories
in organizational concepts and theories.

The power and policies plays the effective role in relation to have the desire
outcome in the business enterprise. This will affect the concept of coordination in the
organization. In this manner there can be problem in relation to negative decision
making. The business enterprise of Samsung is taking various effective step in relation
to have expansion in the business activities with managing the performance of the
employees.
It can be defined in the following manner are as-
Positive power of influence- in relation to have the expansion of business thins kind of
process is very effective with the help of this organization can able to have desire
outcome. In order to make this process the firm has to hire those skilled individual with
the help of which desired objective can be achieved. This is helpful in enhancing the
confidence level of employees so that he can perform all the activities in the expertise
manner.

Negative types of power- The activities of leader are not so effective due to this the
growth of the business Enterprise can be hampered. The leadership skill is need to
improved so that all taks can perform in the expertise manner. The training is to be
provided to all the employees so that entity need not to face the downfall in the

things. This all are essential in order to run the business in effective manner this are in following

et.al., 2016). Intrinsic motivation is the internal factors influencing motivation like self
confidence, prestige, desires etc while the extrinsic motivation is the external factors
affecting motivation like getting appreciation and reward by anyone. There are two
bases of differentiation of the motivational theory namely what are the factors which
cause motivation i.e. content theory and how the motivation takes place i.e. process
theory.
Content theories of motivation mainly explain all the factors whether internal or
external which is influencing a person to do a task. Content theory identify what are the
need and how are they related to motivation to fulfill those needs (Anderson, Potočnik
and Zhou, 2014). The different types of content theory are Maslow’s need hierarchy
theory, Herzberg’s two factor theory and Alderfer’s ERG theory.

Process theory of motivation tells how actually the motivation is taking plan rather
than only identifying the factors related to the motivation. The various process theories
are Vroom Expectancy, Adams and Latham and Locke theory.
Maslow’s need hierarchy theory
The management at Samsung is usually following the Maslow’s need hierarchy theory
of the content theory which was introduced by Abraham Maslow. This theory
believes that human being is always motivated by the basic, internal and external
factors and constantly growing inner drive that has potential (Ankli and Palliam,
2012). There are mainly 5 levels of hierarchy in the Maslow need theory and
every time the individual fulfill the need individual move on to the other need. At
Samsung also the management tries to fulfill the lower level need of employees
and then move on to other level needs
Herzberg's two factor theory
The management at Samsung are usually following the Herzberg's two factor
theory at their workplace which is a type of content theory and was introduced by
Frederick Herzberg. This theory believes that human being are always motivated by the
basic, internal and external factors and which result in the job satisfaction (Barrick,
Mount and Li, 2013). These factors which are motivating an individual at work are slowly
changing over their lifetime but getting respect from anyone is the most motivating
factor at anyone's life at all the stage. Samsung has also discovered this theory and
then applied in their workplace ate all the level of management so that they can
increase the job satisfaction among the employee. In the Herzberg's two factors theory
there are basically two types which are supposed to motivate to do work and get
satisfied ate Samsung they are:
Motivators- these are those factors which if are present then they would motivate the
employee at Samsung and if they are absent then they will not cause any many
differences. These include challenging work at Samsung, recognition by supervisor and
responsibility towards work (Borkowski, 2015). All these factors if present then they will
help in job satisfaction and then in employee's productivity.
Hygiene factors- these are those factors which is are not present then they would not
be motivating the employee or would not be causing any effect or the working. But if

those factors are absent in the workplace then they will surely demotivate the employee
at Samsung. These all factors include status, job security, salary and fringe benefits
they if are will not affect much on the employee's job satisfaction but if job security or
salary is not there then they will not help the employee to do their work.
In this theory Herzberg said that job satisfaction and dissatisfaction are different
factors which are motivators satisfiers and hygiene factors are dissatisfies.
Vroom Expectancy theory
This theory mainly believe that the behavior of an individual is the result of the
conscious choice which is the inner process of thought. All the performance of the
employee who are working in the organization are based on the factors like that of
personality, skills, knowledge and experience. Vroom theory differ from the content
theory like that of Maslow need hierarchy theory as in the content theory whole focus is
on the satisfaction of the employee and the factors which are motivating them. While the
process theory like Vroom expectancy theory suggest that the behaviour of an individual
is the factor which will be motivating them.
This is the other type of theory which is applied by Samsung at its workplace this
was proposed by Victor H. Vroom in year 1964. Vroom Expectancy theory suggest that
employee s at Samsung why do they select a particular behaviour over the other
(Chiang and Hsieh, 2012). Employees or managers will behave or act in a certain way
as they are motivated to specified behaviour. There is a specified equation in this theory
which is also used by Samsung like-
M=E*I*V
in this equation M= motivation; E= expectancy; I= instrumentality; and V= valence.
Motivation in Samsung and employee's will be how much and by what they are
motivated like condition or environment
Expectancy in Samsung will be employee's perception which will effort in the
performance of the employee.
Instrumentality in Samsung is the reward getting perception of the employees.
Valence in Samsung is the amount of reward or punishment which the employee is
actually getting.

theory.
The content theory used by Samsung which is Herzberg's two factor theory this
is very helpful in job satisfaction of the employee at Samsung. As Samsung is providing
a good and healthy environment to the employee and this is some way or the other
helping the employees this is the merit. Samsung is also giving the recognition to their
employees by the way of reward to give them job satisfaction and thus helping in
productivity of the employees. Drawback is that giving reward to all the employees are
not easy and if one is getting reward and the other is not then they will get demotivated.
The process theory is also been used by the Samsung and its management
which is the Vroom's Expectancy theory (Alavosius, and et.al., 2016). This explain how
and why the employees are enacting a certain behaviour and ho that is helping in the
motivation of the employee and this is the merit of theory. The drawback is that
Samsung is such a big brand with having around 300000+ employee all over the world
so it is difficult to analyse the behaviour of all employees.
All the manager and the leader at Samsung can analyse the factors which will be
motivating their employees and how they can use all the motivating factors. This will
further be helping the company and its management to increasing the performance of
those employees. If the employee at Samsung will remain motivated to work this will be
helping the company and management to grow their level of performance and ultimately
leading to higher growth and revenue.
Emotional intelligence is the capability which the individual is pursuing in
recognizing and analysing their own emotional attachment and that of others. They use
the emotional intelligence in thinking and managing the emotions which they are having
and then adapting the environment in which they are living. This will be strongly
influencing the personal quality of the individual and their own skill of self controlling
them. The leader of the team and his team members can gain the adjustment in the
team. Emotional intelligence will be helping them to adjust in any condition within the
team and thus making them flexible.
Psychodynamic approach is the combination of all the theories which include
the human functioning and that are based upon the interaction which is driving and

factors which is known as stimuli will be affecting the behaviour of the responded. This

influence on the behaviour on them. Person centric approach deals with the person who
is dealing or seeing himself as consciously rather than on the mind set of a counsellor.
This approach involve listening, thinking, coaching and sharing ideas. While the

which they are suffering from. The process involve recognition of that particular disorder
and then treating it with the realistic ideas. Whereas the system oriented approach is

There are various kind of team in the business enterprise this all are very helpful
in relation to achieve the desired objectives and there is need to bring all this team
together so that they can perform the activities in the harmony. With the help of well
manage tram the organisation can able to perform his activities in effective and efficient
manner. The activities are to be done in the expertise manner so that growth of the
Samsung company can be achieved.
There are number of teams with the help of which the desired objective can be fulfill are
as-
Functional: In this kind of department the all the activities is need to be performed in
the effective and efficient manner. In this the all the task is to be accomplished by the
individual so that they are able to do the whole work in effective and proper manner. In

active manner.
Problem solving: with the help of this organization can able to deal with various kind of
