Introduction
The project plan is developed for the installation of new technology of SAP into the
operations and functions of one of the independent pharmacies Yes Chemist. The company is
well established and set-up in the South Melbourne, Victoria. The business is working well as
the company is offering care and other products to their customers at competitive prices. The
operations of the company are now needed to be improved according to the operational
review done by the general manager. There is a need for technological advancement for
improving the operations of the company and by increasing the efficiency and effective
working nature in the company. The operations management of finance, HR, and accounting
are needed to be changed and updated with the accounting software SAP. The sales and
marketing of the company are required to be strengthened and make strong which could be
done by the use of SAP (Customer Relationship Management). The company is planning to
introduce new systems software to get rid of the inefficient systems and introduce effective
software solution in the company for its improved operations and functions.

Business case
The project addresses the needs of the business which are related to the installation of SAP
and system software. The project needed to be in an effective manner. The project requires
being completed on time so that the work of the company does not get hampered. The project
includes the basic factors of project scope (Bernhardt, et. al., 2015). The Implementation and
installation of the business software for improvement in the efficiency will be beneficial for
the company. But every aspects and software has the benefits and dis-benefits which affects
the organisation. There are positive and negative outcomes of the business software.
The business case defines the project of the company and its working the project needs the
complete assessment of the different budget and SAP transformation (Bernhardt, et. al.,
2015). The overall achievement of the project will be turned if the systems of the project get

working and confusion in operating with the software. The chances of errors increase.
Installation cost is high- The cost of installing SAP software is very high. The company has
to invest huge amount to install SAP. This takes out a huge amount from the company and
creates a negative impact on it.
All browsers and applications are not successful- The SAP includes different browsers and
application which are not successful in every aspect (Rajendrakumar, et. al., 2015). Some of
them are not user-friendly. These impacts negatively on the company as the users are not
comfortable on SAP.
Lacks security- The security issues are there in SAP as the big organisation faces the low-
security level in the company.

The project installation SAP needs to be installed with a huge power and time. There is a
need for maintaining all the data secured before installing SAP in an organisation. The
different activities or tasks will be done during this project. These tasks and the activities are

There are various risks which are associated with the project management of SAP. The

Cost risk- Cost Risk is basically the risk which is related to the cost of the project. The issue
or risk which could arise in front of project managers is to manage the cost of the project
under the organisation (Liu, 2016). The effective cost and management of the company are
necessary to maintain and this is one of the cost and risks.
Schedule risk- Schedule risk is that risk in which the project schedule becomes less
effective. The working process becomes mismanaged and this affects the project success’s
the project may go under the schedule risk where the activities of projects get delayed.
Performance risk- The performance risk is based on the risks of lower performance of the
project. The project gets affected by the lower performance of the project. This is basically
forming an issue of inefficiency in the project (Liu, 2016). The project management faces the

Governance risk- The risk of governance is basically the risk or issue which arises due to the
governmental interference. The changes in government and the interference related to the

which could work for the company will help in boosting the project and its success otherwise;
