1.B Vision statement, Initial product backlog and role analysis
Introduction: The website for Saravana Bhavan has been mainly been developed to serve
their customers from all over the world. Hence, the main users of the website would include
admin hotel admin, food service consultants and customers. The customers are external users
who would be able to book for their desired services (Saravanabhavan.com 2019). The website
currently links themselves with another website, which is under the name of EaseRoom. The link
to the website is: https://easeroom.com/. The website thus provides online room booking services
and high quality of food services. Thus, the project vision document for the following website is
described in the following section of the report.
Scope: The scope of the chosen website are discussed:
1. Identification of user authorization
2. Room management
3. Storing data in dedicated server
4. Dedicated portal for room booking service
5. Choose dates and room booking service
Deliverables: The primary deliverables provided by the Saravana Bhavan website is to
redirect the users to a new website for choosing rooms as per their required dates and book them
accordingly. This data would be further fetched and would be stored into an online database. The
users would then be directed to the final step of payment and attaching credentials of the users.
The management of user data would be efficiently performed by the website.

Purpose: The dynamic website would need to integrate the room service within a single
website without the need for redirection of user to another website for booking rooms.
Database Management: The data collected from the user would be reflected in the
interface provided by the system. However, this data would be sent as input within the internal
database server.
Security: The website for Saravana Bhavan does not include any aspect based on
security. However, this should be considered as a major concern. The redirection feature within
the website should be removed and thus this should be included within the primary website. This
would thus restrict third-party services to assess the services of the primary website.
Usability: The website should look simple and thus help every kind of user to easily gain
access to every kind of integrated service. The system should have an interactive approach. Each
of the navigation areas within the website should be easily accessible and thus can be achieved
through easy clicks.
The associated epics within the website are grouped as follows:
Epic 1: As an admin, I would suggest new kind of design ideas for the website to make
the look of the website as more attractive.
Epic 2: As an admin, I would define some security strategies that needs to be
implemented within the website and provide suggestions based on stoppage of third-party
services.
Epic 3: As an admin, I would suggest ideas for integrating functionalities based on
designing a user profile for non-registered and registered users.

The individual roles of users can be understood from the above diagram. The diagram
depicts the role assigned to different users within the system. The sub-division have been found
based on the classification of external users and internal users. The admin within the internal
users would control every activity that would be performed by other users associated within the
system.

2. Web site user interaction analysis
The analysis of user interaction within a website is defined as the flow of series based on
the type of work that is being performed within the system. Based on a proper kind of website
analysis, the performance factor of websites could be evaluated. The flow of work within the
website could be further be evaluated based on understanding the type of work being performed
by the system and the final output that would be gained.
Based on understanding the functionalities performed within the use case of the website,
the different associated actors and their level of interaction with other actors would be
determined. Each of the functionalities that would be performed within the website could be put
under review based on the understanding of the user interaction analysis. Activity diagrams are
also supported for gaining an understanding about the dynamic functionalities that are being
supported within the website.

The diverse range of activities performed by the admin such as administering over the
registration, approval of user profile, checking of hotel availability and checking of payment
status.

The interaction of the hotel admin would be determined with the depiction of the above
use case. The hotel admin perform different kind of functionalities based on updating the room
prices, updating new status of hotels, checking of customer profile before room allocation and
provide final approval.
