Written Assignment 2
According to Mark C.Crowley's research Jim Goodwill owner and CEO of SAS is doing a magnificient
job in the way he treats his staff that he has gained profitability of record breaking for the past 37
years in 2012. His management styles and awarding systems have proven next to none. Mr. Crowley
stated that "Their highly non traditional insight is that workers instinctively and positively respond to
an organization that routinely demonstrates that they matter and are individually valued".
Job performance: It is further stated that when the customers were not purchasing SAS software and
a decline n sales and similar companies were laying off staff, members of SAS became worried about
their job security production was at a hault Mr. Goodwill announce that he would not cut staff and
instantly the general mental ability of staff was put at ease. Their stress level decreases. This alone
brought out the meaning of Job Performance as stated in the test Management Principles "to the
level to which an employer successfully fulfills the factors included in the job description."
Mr. Crowley stated that Mr. Goodwill value his workers and "his commitment to his people has paid
off handsomely" which brings out the meaning of Organizational Citizenship Behavior, the positive
attitude of workers and the relaxed environment in which to work give them more time to think and
come up with great ideas which produces new items for the company. The workers valued the
company even more and assist each other in giving a good performance and that benefited the
organization.
SAS provides a gym and other amenities for its workers, health benefits and an on site medical
complex. This venture paved the way for fewer absenteeism. Because the work environment is
stress free and the work hours are relaxed this boost employees morals and aided in less absenteeism
which produced more output and scored another big one for SAS.
The treatment of staff provides loop holes for several areas, but SAS treatment of its staff gave way to
a low staff turnover. Persons increased their performance level and skill sets.
I agree with his style and hope my organization will adopt it someday.

Overall feedback
The presentation is not good. There is no heading provided by the writer and this is making the
writing very complex to understand. Also, there is no reference provided. However, the grammar
and the sentence structure is quite impressing. Also, the write up should be justified but it is not.
