Key Features of Saturn
Saturn is one of the planets in the solar system and is sometimes referred to as "The Jewel
of the Solar System". It is the second largest planet in the universe. Saturn is composed of helium
and hydrogen gases. which could make it float on water. It has beautiful rings around it which
are made up of rock, ice, and dust. It is windy in Saturn, the wind speed at its equator flowing at
about 1,800 kilometers per hour. It has 62 moons (Charles, 2017).
Comparison to features on Earth
The diameter of Saturn at its equator is 120,536 km, this is almost 9.5 times Earth's
equatorial diameter. It has a surface area which is 83 times that of the Earth and its volume is 764
times that of Earth. Saturn's mass is 95 times that of the Earth. Saturn is the least dense planet in
the solar system with a density of 0.687 g/cm3 while Earth is the most dense planet with a
density of 5.52 g/cm3 meaning Earth is 8 times denser than Saturn. It takes Earth 24 hours to
complete a day while it takes Saturn 10 hours and 32 minutes. Saturn has many moons while
Earth has only one moon. The magnetic field is 578 times that of Earth (Fraser, 2009).
Challenges Associated with the Vacation
Saturn has no surface hence there is no place to land. A lot of time is needed to travel to
Saturn since it is about 1.2 billion kms from Earth, therefore, it requires almost 3 traveling years.
It has a very unfriendly environment which is unfavorable for human health.
Remedies to the Challenges Faced
In order to fasten the journey to Saturn, NASA is investigating DEEP IN theory where
electromagnetic fields are used instead of chemical. Lack of solid surface can be solved by just
hovering around the planet.

Why I want to visit Saturn
My hobby is mainly traveling and viewing things, for instance, I would really wish to
have a look at Saturn, a planet with beautiful rings and its 62 moons. Saturn is associated with
Aurora which would be amazing to view. Visiting each and every moon would also be an
amazing experience. This could turn out to be the all-time best vacation.
