Change management is a approach which support the companies, individuals and group
members to accept the change in the organization (Miletić, 2019). The companies also use
organization development (OD) strategy to initiate the change in the organization. It use describe
overall systems, philosophies which can be used to achieve the objective of the organization and
to provide information that change is well accepted by the employees of the company. It
provides various benefits to the company which includes that manage overall work, time and
various other resources so that efficiency will be maintained in the company, this also results in
reducing cost and expenditure of the company (Brown & Harvey, 2006).
In the research proposal, the “OD/change management strategy in Saudi Telecom
Company” is selected. This topic is selected because estimated describes that companies in Saudi
Arabia adopt various strategies to manage the change so that employees gets motivated and
increase their performance in the long run.

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) is the telecommunications company which provides
various services to the customers which includes computer networks, internet services and
landline in Saudi Arabia (STC, 2019). The company is the well –known enterprises because of
adopting various strategies by which the loyalty among the customers is increased. It was
established in 1988 and reached more service subscribers, in the year 2018 the profitability of the
organization was $ 13.9 billion.
The operating income of the company in the year 2018 was $3.27 billion; therefore the
company also adopts various strategies to change the internal environment of the organization
(Franklin & Aguenza, 2016). Therefore, to maintain the level of motivation among the workers
the top level executives also develop the policies to manage the organizational develop as well as
to manage the change of the company in regular manner. This results in benefiting the company
in positive manner because of increasing number of employees that is in the current year the
company has 17000 numbers of employees.
