This essay examines Saudi Arabia's healthcare system within the context of its Vision 2030 and the World Health Organization's (WHO) global health initiatives. It highlights the alignment between Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 quality of life program, which aims to improve the lifestyles of Saudi Arabians, and WHO's initiatives covering areas like immunization, disease control, and health system strengthening. The essay argues that the Saudi Arabian program aligns with WHO's goals by developing infrastructure and improving lifestyles but suggests that the Ministry of Health should further encourage private sector investment in sectors related to citizen well-being. It also touches on the challenges faced by global health initiatives due to social and political unrest, which can hinder access to social services and weaken health systems.

HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS IN SAUDI ARABIA 2
Healthcare Systems in Saudi Arabia
The primary goal of Saudi Arabia is to become an exemplary and leading country in
every aspect and work towards achieving the endeavor. Vision 2013 of Saudi Arabia has several
health initiatives that are similar to those of the World Health Organization (WHO).
One of the 2030 health initiatives is quality of life program. It is among the Saudi
Arabian Vision Realization Programs for vision 2030. The program aims to improve the
lifestyles of the Saudi Arabians and establish a society that allows individuals to enjoy a
balanced life. It does this through the setting up of the environment that is essential for
supporting and providing new options which promote participation of residents and citizens in
entertainment, cultural and sports activities. The attainment of the objectives of the program
would contribute to the creation of many job opportunities in the diversification of the economic
activities, with a primary aim of including Saudi Arabian cities within the best cities to live in
the globe (Saudi Vision 2030, 2018).
Similarly, WHO has global health initiatives which cover various areas such as
Immunization Programmes, use of tobacco, malaria, and tuberculosis, maternal and child health,
emerging diseases, nutrition, promotion of health and the strengthening of health systems as
well as human resources. WHO adopts the global health initiatives in response to the protracted
social and political unrest in many nations which continue to be a significant health challenge.
Insecurity in many parts of the world has hampered access to social services. The health sector
is the worst due to the substantial capital loss, thus severely weakening the health services and
systems in the victimized nations. The global health initiatives have established parallel systems
for undermining the holistic approach for the development of health systems (World Health
Organization, 2018).

I believe that the Saudi Arabian vision 2030 quality of life program is in alignment with
the WHO’s global health initiatives. The program improves the quality of life of the Saudi
Arabians through the development of infrastructure and improvement of lifestyle (Saudi Vision
2030, 2018). However, the Ministry of health needs to continue encouraging the private sector
to consider investing in new economic sectors which directly relate to the well-being and quality
of life of the Saudi Arabian citizens.
