Introduction
The case study involved in this report is the case of Scene Brokers. The Scene Brokers is
situated is Australia and it is a company that deals with venue selection for organizing events.
This company deals with online reservation of the venues that are the customer wants to
select. The Scene Brokers wants to extend their business by making their business an online so
that the customers make their bookings online. They want an online information system for
their business that can manage all the operations that are involved in the organization. The
organization wants a report of business management which helps to identify system design that
controls all the operations of the company.
This report elaborates a use case for the business operations involved in Scene Brokers.
The use case describes the data that are analyzed in the company and the requirements for
running the business process in the company. There is a brief use case description provided in
the report that defines all the actors involved in the system. The details showing the usage of
mobile applications for a company are described in this report in comparison with website
application. There is also a Work Breakdown Structure related to the system Scene Brokers.

Use Case Name Scene Brokers Information System
Scenario Scene Brokers deals with venue selection for the customers for
organizing events. The company wants to develop a mobile application
and website application for the processes that are carried out in the
company. The customers can sign up with the system and search for
venues they prefers by providing the number of guests attending the
event. The customer needs to pay $100 for sign up. Admin of the system
has the access to change the details of venue and also can manage the
agents involved in the system. The database administrator involved in
system stores the information securely in the system.
Triggering Event Triggering effects involved in the use case stated above is that customers
involved in the system can view different venues for their venue booking
with a maximum accommodation of 500 guests. All the actors needs to
sign up in the system of Scene Brokers to access the data or input data in
the system.
Brief Description Use case that is drawn above has all the details of the processes which
are to be carried out in the information system of Scene Brokers. All the
processes involved in the system are shown in the use case with four
actors involved in the system. Far carrying out the application or the
website app, all actors are to be involved in the system.
Actors Actors involved in the system are the customers, database administrator,
customer, and the system admin. The actors involved in the system have
to sign up in the system after they pay a small amount of money to the
company. All the bookings are controlled by the database administrator
and the admin. The admin login is also administered by the database
administrator. The agents involved in the system manages booking
system and also shows the booking that are left not booked.
Related Use Case The use case shown above is related with other use cases for booking
system. The use case is similar like other booking system which are
available online.
Stakeholders The involved stakeholders with this use case are the customer, the
administrator, the agents and the data base administrator. The admin
manages all the system involved in the business process along with the
customer and the agents involved.
Pre-conditions  The user interface and the system interface should be interactive
where all the details of the customer can be stored.

 The login page involved in the system should have good
interaction process.
 The payment page should work properly so that the user do not
face any difficulty while paying to Scene Brokers.
Post-Conditions  When the sign up process is complete and the customer has
made the payment, all the available dates for booking should be
shown in the interface system.
 The date of event should be properly given by the customer.
 The booking dates are to be verified by the admin before
confirming.
Flow of Activities Actors System

all the details and then the customer is
shown up with a message that he has to
make payment for proceeding.
 After the payment done, the customer is

done successfully.

available in system.
2. Admin  The admin needs to approve the
booking before the payment process.

Topic 2: Advantages of Mobile App
Studies have shown that about 58 % of the total population users uses mobile phones in
their daily lives (Ventola 2014). Most of the activities in their daily life is done by mobile along
with the Internet connection. Out of those 58 %, almost 66 % of users take online service and
checks the discounts that are needed by them (Vithani and Kumar 2015). Users takes the help
of smart phones for online shopping. Mobile applications provides many advantages as
compared to desktop app. The advantages are stated below.
 Helps in bringing loyal customers in the company
The most important advantage that mobile app provides a company is to create a brand
loyalty. Huge percent of people use mobile device for daily shopping rather than desktop device
(Avram 2014). As people gives review of the brand online, so mobile apps enables the user to
access the brand rating anytime and anywhere.
 Has Usage tendency as well as increases market e-commerce

The rising of usage of mobile app establishes a strong connection in between the
customer and the company (Gao et al. 2015). The mobile app provides an easy interface in
between the system and the buyer so that the buyer can easily takes service or buy products
that are not even in the same country. The mobile app is a user friendly application which helps
to increase the market e-commerce.
 Provides advance market strategies
In mobile application, there are many facilities and functionalities that allows retailer to
do online shopping so that they can take online services (Halpern Zhu and Reddi 2016). The
customers may have detailed analytics on service they gets from the mobile app. Mobile app
helps to provide many market strategies to the business. They can personalize the business
content more precisely when compared to website apps (Buller et al. 2014). This also provide
effective recommendations which serves as the functional benefits involved in mobile
application.

In the above shown Work Breakdown Structure, the steps shows the processes that are
to be carried out while implementing the business system. In level 1, there is three activities
that are to be carried out. Requirement Definition which includes software requirements as
well as hardware requirements. There are programs which includes analyzing the proposed
system and testing all the requirements. The last activity is the design phase. In design phase,

All the phases are important or carrying out the system development for Scene Brokers.
Recommendations and Conclusions
For Scene Brokers, it can recommended that the information system that is decided to
build should be in use only after the testing phase. The app should be tested before applying it
to the company. The company has decided to make its service online and the design a system
that supports all the operation involved in Scene Brokers. Many new operations are to be
involved in the business system of Scene Brokers. To make the business management, the
online designed system should have a good interface so that the users can use them with ease.
From the above report, it can be concluded that after implementing the information
system in the company, the working process of the company will run smooth. This report stated
clearly all business information system that will be needed for making the system. Use case
diagram shows all the processes that are to be involved in the system for making the system
online automatic one. The proposed system in this report helps the user to search for venues
and confirms the booking date for organizing the event.
