Background and statement of the problem
The main idea of the present research report is based on analyzing the way there is
relationship between effective school leadership and contribution towards performance of
students in their academic studies. Instructional leadership is playing a very crucial role in
schools that is helping in establishment of relationship at various levels (Steele, Steiner and
Hamilton, 2021). School organizations are working towards supporting improvement in students
overall performance by building up of effective leadership practices. In some situations there are
difficulties in laying down effective leadership on part of teachers and that leads to lower
performance of students. Present research is based on analyze the way different leadership
practices and contributes towards higher student performance in mathematics.

Literature review:
Analyze the concept of school leadership
Effective student leadership plays a very crucial role in the process of improves learning.
After several decades of renewal efforts leadership has become one of the important aspects in
promoting children’s learning. Effective leadership is playing a very crucial part in development
of students with respect to various difficulties that are faced in the process of academic. The
overall leadership approach is very helpful in analyzing the teaching related factors that has an
impact on student learning (Cai and Hwang, 2021). There are different ways in which leadership
is affecting the learning process of students and helping them in achievement of higher growth.
High quality leaders are working towards setting direction that helps students in having a clear
course of understanding establishment of higher expectations and using of data to track the
performance and progress. Leaders are also helping in development of students by providing
them training and required support in aspects which they are feeling weak. Apart from this
effective student leadership ensures that there is entire range of incentives and conditions that are
supporting the process of learning and teaching together. Successful or effective leadership is
very critical for the purpose of having school reforms. It helps students in building up a proper
knowledge base for further education that is to be imported by teachers. Math is a typical subject
that involves quite typical numerical calculations and dealing with quantitative data. Effective
school leadership is a key aspect that can help in development of classroom instructions school
related factors that can contribute towards student learning (Stronge and Xu, 2021). It is also
helping in having proper formal administrative rules that can help students in proper actions
towards learning. There are different forms of leadership styles that can be used which include
instructional, democratic, strategic, transformational or participated depending upon specific
circumstances. It can be said that democratic is one of the most suitable and desirable form of
leadership styles on part of students. It helps them in setting up of defensible directions and
influencing students in moving towards right direction.

The way in which leadership affects student progress in mathematics
As per views of wolking (2017), there are some of the issues that are faced in educational
leadership. There can be challenges that may arise because of groups values of principles that is
not reflected as per reality of choices. Sometimes leaders may face issues of no proper alignment
of group with its system values structure and actions. For which there is need to develop a
leadership strategy that can help in implementation of plans for a system wise personalized
learning experiences (Fauth, and et. al., 2021). Another challenge that is faced by school leaders
is the leadership development challenges that may arise because there are no proper capabilities
to deal with the changing situation requirement. Transition challenge may also arise because
there can be present value said ships that is required to adapt towards new set of values for
creation of great progress. This type of challenge usually arise for school leaders when there is
no proper growth mindset and there can be conventional issues that arise for the purpose of
improving future performance level. Maintenance challenge also arises because there is no
proper adjustment to the changing standards. A leadership has to be focus on preserving
essentials and performance at higher levels to deal with the threats. So there is need to focus on
coherent instructional vision by the school leaders so that they are able to adjust to changing
landscape (Ma and Marion, 2021).
Importance of conducting the research
This research work will help in analyzing the growth in mathematics as a complex subject.
Students require extra efforts to understand the formulas and numerical equations that are part of
the subject. For this purpose the overall contribution made by effective school leadership and
student progress is going to help in effective learning process.
Contribution of research:
The present research will be contributing towards analyzing the role played by an effective
leadership towards student development. It is one of the most effective tools that will help in
understanding the relation between high performing students and role of leadership. There are
many existing studies and researches that are already dealing with the present lid in but this
research is going to contribute towards analyzing the challenges that are associated with effective
school leadership (Lee, Ryoo and Walker, 2021). This research is also going to contribute
