INTRODUCTION

this, researcher identifies the factors that contribute to the process of project selection so that suitable
outline and specification of the project can be set and accordingly development of new product can be
carried out in appropriate way. Thereafter, through the help of these defined specifications, researcher
will develop suitable plan and define the resources and timescales so that feasible strategy can be
employed for the implementation of project. Further, report highlights the significance of monitoring

Looking at the nature of present study, researcher has used different methods and approaches to
present the generated outcomes of the renovation project. Through the project management technique,
researcher was able to present the defined activities in graphical manner. Along with this, Gantt chart
and network diagram helped in evaluating the critical path of the project that manager can use to
execute the whole project. Furthermore, various methods such as budgeting cost benefits analysis,
WBS and risk register has been used to compare the actual performance of project with the budgeted
performance (Cullen, 2014). Furthermore, in the first part project manager identified all the factors that
contributed to the successful selection of project. However, by the means of this project team was able
to select the renovation project. Further, outline of the project has been defined which consist of project
subdivision, resources, costs and time. On the basis of these four aspects entire project has been
developed.
There after by the means of using MS Project, renovation project plan has been developed and
with the help of WBS activities have been categories under various elements such as: planning,
development of project plan, implementation of project with accordance to specification, monitoring
and closure of the project (Thakore, 2010). Thereafter on the basis of comparing actual and expected
outcomes several recommendations has been presented to the project team so that in future they can
easily carry out the project without major hindrance and obstacles.
5.2 Presenting the outcomes of the project to an audience using an agreed format and appropriate media
There are several methods available to the project team in order to present the generated results
and outcomes. In the present study of renovation of school project, graphical presentation method that
been used by the project manager so that he/she can appropriately and suitably present to the targeted
audience. However, graphical presentation assists in delivering the accurate findings to the target
audience so that they can easily understand and accordingly make decisions regarding the success and
failure of the project. Furthermore, in order to achieve the estimated outcomes, project manager has
undertaken various monitoring strategies such as: budgeting and cost benefit analysis for monitoring
the financial resources (Kitchenham and Taylor, 2007). The review or feedback provided by the
stakeholders can be considered as the evaluation of project and accordingly manager can undertake
potential measures to mould the functioning and generate desired results and outcomes. Project

In summing up the present report it has been evaluated that, managing project in effective and

adversely. According to the present given scenario, senior authority of School is focusing on enhancing
the level of education and for that they are planning to renovate certain areas of school so that they can
offer quality of environment as well as education to the students and attract more and more for the long
term sustainability. In this regard, School has to carry out different activities which can be defined as
the outline of the project specification. Furthermore, project manager considered the review or
feedback provided by the stakeholders as the evaluation of project and accordingly undertakes potential
measures to mould the functioning and generate desired results and outcomes. Looking at the present
study, renovation project has been considered and for which different approaches and methods has been
used so that appropriate results and outcomes can be generated. However, comparing the actual
outcomes to the expected specification it can be evaluated that, through the help of PRINCE2 method.
Furthermore, through the help of Gantt chart and network diagram project manager evaluated that in
order to complete the renovation of school in effective manner, project team and senior authority of
school will require 49 days.
