Introduction
School is the learning organisation that share the information with parents related to their
children. Considering them as a partner in the whole education process. The process refers here
time management, space, and provide maximum personal effect on the students learning
platform. Schools developed and share a vision focused on the basis of students learning
program. The chosen school for completing this project is King's college school, founded in
1829 by royal charters. In this project different type of schools present in the education sector
and their organised system in terms of distribution of role and responsibilities will be evaluated
(Woods and et.al., 2019). Furthermore the deep understanding about the schools aim and
objectives, different code of conduct and laws which directly or indirectly affect work style in
schools evaluation has been done. In last school policies and different organisation which make
an impact on school work systems will be evaluated. A poster is formulated in order to determine
the concept of different roles and responsibilities of national government and local government
in relation to schools.
TASK A
1. Know the different types of schools in the education sector
There are lots of school in education sector, when it comes to British education system or
an oversea teacher, the system of the UK schools are somehow little complicated (Types of
school, 2020). There are lots of schools which are comes under the UK education sector which
are described below:
 State schools: In UK all the students from age of 5-11 years, are entitled to study at free
of cost. Mostly there are community school, which are authorised by local authority and
they are not authorised by any business or religious (Gilbert and Gilbert, 2017). They
mostly follow the national curriculum. Foundation school, academic and grammar
schools, they are followed different curriculum in order to maintain standard.
 Special Schools: This type of school have pupils aged 11 or above and learned different
or specialised area in 1 or 4 areas related to communication and interactions, cognition
and learning, social and emotional, sensory and any physical needs. These schools follow
the national or specialised curriculum which reflect their own need.

 Faith Schools: Faith schools are the schools who follow religious studies but at the same
time they have to follow the national curriculum. They have different admission criteria
and many other policies which are related to different places. Here all type of pupils
study and learn their own religious.
 Free Schools: Free schools are the one which are funded by the government but they are
not run by the local authorities. They have their own pay and condition style which are
related to their staff. Further they can change their own learning style and length of
academics (Siffredi, 2017). These schools are basis of NPO, thus can be set up by
charities universities, independents school, parents and many different business. They are
followed national and universities curriculum.
 Academies: These are schools which are receive funds from the government and run by
any academics trust. They are inspected by the Ofsted, and they follow the same rule
which are used as admission and same as other schools. They are not following by the
national curriculum. These are the schools which are used and managed by their own
terms.
 City technologies colleges: These are the urban school where a children are free to go,
these schools are the independent schools. City technologies schools are funded by the
central government. These schools mainly provide teaching on the basis of science and
technologies. These schools are followed by different skills and abilities which are
assigned by their own terms.
 State boarding schools: these boarding schools provide free education but make fee for
boarding. These school are the mixture of above teaching like some are academics, free
schools, and local authorities (Etzo and Rowlands, 2017). These schools are for the
growth and objective of different academic styles. State boarding schools are useful for
the growth of children who can't stay with their parents. They teach students from aged
11 and above.
 Private Schools: private schools are charged fees to attend the classes, instead of being
funded by government. They are not allow and responsible for following national
curriculum, these schools are must be registered under the government record and
maintained on timely basis. Mainly these organisation are related to Ofsted and managed

by different relation. And the children are the aged from 5-18 years where students can
learn different things at different skills.

2.1 Describe what each of the following do, using a school with which the candidate is familiar
as an example:
 School governors: The school governors work as a team, and have a responsibilities for
making sure that schools are providing best quality of education as per their all pupils.
Raising the standard in school as their key priorities (Barthel de Weydenthal, 2018). They
are further responsible and accountable for their own performance and make full future
decision.
 The head teacher: The head teacher of the chosen school have main responsibilities to
manage the classes and make time table as per the need and record of their staff and
employees. The head teacher of the king's college school, they organised their
management team, students academic lifestyle, conduct tests and make sure about having
the academic integrity in their school.
 The senior management team: In the management team of king's college school, the
senior management team will be responsible for the growth and leading behaviour of
school. This is important for the school to make growth and provide relevant information
about the team and their roles. Another important aspect is to provide effective and kind
behaviour with others which increase the management of school organisation.
 The special needs co-ordinator (SENCO): The need of special co-ordinator are
important for the chosen organisation as they are related to the growth of school. Some of
the special co-ordinator are related to the management of school (Eggleston, 2018.). They
are helpful in managing students and their parents as per the growth of school. They are
further attend their own classes but they are responsible for the special co-ordinator that
affect the growth and acceptability of the school.

 Support staff: They are the non-teaching staff, they have to perform work with alongside
teachers and some of the assignment behind the scene. There are lots of examination,
cover supervisors, behavioural management team and many more work which are needed
in King's college London.
2.2 Six External type professionals
They are the one who are outside professionals which are work with the schools based
activities but actually they are not permanently appointed by the schools. They are helpful for the
students and schools in order to make sure about the learning objective more clear and make a
successful journey path (Kooij and Boon, 2018). They are work as an employee but majorly
related to outsiders or external professionals. For addressing and appoint them in the respected
schools, permission is always carried from the parents.

1. The Physiotherapist They are the one who is related to health professional and
help the children to improve their physical and mobility
needs. They help the children if they are occur any problem
related to muscles, bones, heart, lungs or any other part. In
Kings college school they are appointed as per making
improvement in health and movement of the body. They
further provide some therapies or any exercise programme
for the each children in school.
2. School Nurse School nurses are the one who provide relevant theories and
education related to issues from obesity to sexual health
(Gorard, 2019). They provide relevant support not to
children but to parents, teacher, carers and advice all of
them for the issues which they are facing due to unhygienic
life structure. Further they are playing a vital role in
children's development related to different screening
programmes, manage medical condition and provide a
support to child protection issues. These nurses are also

provide physical and emotional difficulties.
3. The Educational
physiologist
Some times it is very important for the teacher to make
extra support for a child in order to motivate them for
studying in an correct way. The educational physiologist
are trying to help children's for solving their problems
mainly related to learning, concentration, making attention,
social distribution, communication and interactions. They
further provide relevant theories to teachers and other staff.
4. Speech and language
Therapist
They are the health professionals who help the children with
speech, communication and making different languages.
They mainly work with the parents and provide relevant
support to the children in order to improve their
communication knowledge (Veelen, Sleegers and Endedijk,
2017). These therapist are needed to be improved and
managed with the learning lifestyle which are related to
communication potentials. This is very helpful for the
students in order to provide the relevant support for their
own growth and knowledge.
5. The occupational
therapist
The occupational therapist are needed to work and manage
the daily activities including physical disability, behavioural
problems and neural differences in their life style. There are
many children who have the difficulties with practical skills
and knowledge. They are mainly set short term plan which
are needed to be insure and focus on the key area which are
related to improve some basic problems related to
handwriting and many more several areas.
6. Attendance advisory
services
They provide a relevant services which are related to
different services and designed a structural layout. Which
actually helpful for the school for increasing attendance
services. These are very helpful for the schools as they are

the one who safeguard the service and interest of the school
with the help of increasing responsibilities.

This is the school which is related to different and independent school for the boys and
girls as well. Boys who are aged with 7-18 years and girls with the age of 16-18 are studied
within the school. In the school there are more than 1400pupils and one of the best academic
school in the world (Gorwood, 2018). Their main aim and objective is related to the growth and
success of students and provide sufficient academic and extra curriculum activities which are
helpful for the students to make growth. They mainly provide a school entrance exam, and
provide them up to 100% tuition fees.
The vision of the school is related to all round education that actually empower, inspire
and success to every child for the global lifetime learner. Mission is to provide supportive British
based education within the international prospective. Again they are trying to develop self
confidence in their pupils which are related to their own success and life long learning
opportunities. While providing a safe and secure environment for their children they are set up
equivalent staff who take care for the growth of their students and on their activities as well.
Their main aim, objective and responsibilities are related to the concept of unaccountable nature
which are used in an effective and appropriate way (Pitts, 2019). Which are helpful in addressing
different issues prevailing within school and make sure about the activities work completed
within activities.

company.

This act is comes into the act of UK in 1991, it contain
different information related to work style culture within
their organisation (García-Carmona, Marín and Aguayo,
2019). This is the specific right which is related to the
right of child in the relation to child's right from the
protection in order to discriminate and ensuring the child
interest. This act is useful for the schools to provide an
opportunities in order to express their opinions. This will
be relevant for make ability and allow the children with
full of potentials.
3. Education act 2002 This is the act which is regularly updated and make sure
about the recent terms and policies. All of these policies
are related to education, education policies along with the
staff and governance guidance. This act is amend in 2006
to make some new requirement which are related to the
growth of school and educational policies. This act will
be very helpful for the school management and eduction
prospective of a student for having equal and major
rights.
4. The children act 2004 The use of children act 2004, this act will be work as per
the issue of care, welfare which are related to the
discipline (Pratiwi and et.al., 2019). This will be helpful
for making social services and make education
perspective of the growth of school and their pupils. This
make sure about their own policy related to every child

matters, and all the policies and code are related to the
five main framework of healthy, stay, safe, enjoy and
achieve.

This is the purpose to increase transparency and
accountability of the public sector, so this factor directly
affect the decision making style of the school. Further
this act will make motivation strategies in schools. This is
the duty of the schools to provide relevant information
which are needed by anyone within the school. But this
will be limited to the confidentiality aspect of school as
an organisation.
6. Special educationalist

This is the code of practice which is relevant for the
growth of company, as it will include the special
educationalist code of practice (Capel, Cliffe and
Lawrence, 2020). This act is helpful for the schools in
order to improve their parents and make right in order to
access the mainstream education system. This will be
very helpful for the increased the SEN children in
mainstream the education system which are relevant
more diversifying environment related to positive impact
on schools. All of these are related to expand the nature
of school activities and regulation which will be in the
effective use of technology that must be acceptability of

for meet current legislation. So that parents, staff, governor can easily aware with the school who
are able to work and complete the need with clear set of targets. They all have different
arguments and role which are easily decided to policies which are used by them.
a) Staff: In the above listed policies, performance and management policies; which are
relevant for the performance and management policy (Foster and et.al., 2018). Grievance
policy; this is related to all rewards and management are related to staff pay scale. All of
these policies are applicable for the growth and effective applicability of the staff. These
two policies are applicable and manage by the respected school and their staff. All of
their staff either lower level or high level are applicable and accountable for using and
implement that policies.
b) pupil welfare: When it comes to children the management team of respected school are
come more effective and attentive. As school is all depend on the growth of their
children. child protection policy, health and safety policy, behavioural management
policy and attendance policy, are related to the students welfare and make sure about the
growth of school in order to prevent some major development in school.
c) Teaching and learning: These are the policies which are relatable for the growth of
school and make right decision regarding to major effective policies (Hatlevik, 2017).
Curriculum policy, Teaching and learning policy, Homework policy, Marking policy are
used and manage by the management team in order to work. While applying policies on
school administration they are used and managed by different prospective and growth of

the academic school bodies. implement the growth of school. And used right and
effective policies for their students and manage them as per without facing any
discrimination and legal issues.

Their main task is to promote personal, educational and social
development need of the students. They mainly work and
understand the nature of the students in between the age of 13-19
years old. They are try to make sure and give impact on the
