How will the Schulich MBAN degree help you achieve your short and long-term career
goals?
As a business analyst, I have always looked forward to learning and knowing more about
data. My corporate experience has made me realize that it is crucial to understand businesses
from an analytical point of view, in order to take important decisions. I believe, that the MBAN
course is an exceptional opportunity to increase my potentiality to understand business as
programs which are data driven. The course would enable me with the knowledge of the relevant
techniques which are important for employing business analytics. I believe, the course will
enable me with the best of knowledge, to deal with big data in the competitive world, in order to
come up with more competent business solutions.
The MBAN course offers great learning experiences to the students as they are equipped
to face highly challenging roles, which have intensely become very much desired and essential in
the recent past. It has helped me realize my short term goal which is to become a Data Scientist
in near future. I am very passionate to learn about the potentials of Data in businesses, in order to
be able to come up with advanced insights and develop strategies to be followed to maximize
success. My areas of interest, which I wish to serve, with the knowledge offered by the course in
to be an expert in Data visualization and mining techniques to explore deep into business
performances on how they can be enhanced.

course would set foundation for my long term goal too, which is, to prepare me to establish

accountable for, especially employing my negotiation skills.
I have five years of working experience in the corporate sector, where I have served as
Business Analysts in three companies. It has acquainted to real problems, which one might face
in business environments as well as enabled me to employ relevant strategies and techniques. I
also have worked as Assistant Manager and Senior Finance Analyst for a considerable period of
time, which has made me more keen and passionate about the subject. I am more inclined to
learn about the crucial strategies and tactics which are necessary to employ best of understanding
in the evolving field and emerge as a leader in the industry.

My aspiration is to become a Data Scientist, for which, I believe, I still need to learn
about the nuances more, in order to be competent in developing real solutions for the problems
which are faced by businesses, when it comes to Big Data. Big Data, has emerged as a
revolutionary force, which has great potential for examining larger and complex processes of
hidden co relations which are associated with customers and their preferences which impact the
business.
Some of my key skills include Estimation and Benchmarking, Numeracy, Risk
Management, Financial Analysis and Reporting (IFRS and GAAP), Fundamentals of
Quantitative Modeling and Tableau 10 Advanced Training. I am currently pursuing Six Sigma
Green and Black Belt currently. I have technical and software proficiency with tools like
Primavera, Power BI, SAP, CRM, Oracle Database Administrator 10g, Google Analytics, SQL
and Python. I believe, learning more about the nuances, will help me become more competent in
the extremely competitive world and open myself to a world of possibilities which are preserved
in the world of Data Analytics.
