Question 01:
Management is a framework of activities and behavioural approaches in which the
entity plans regarding the organization that directs, leads, and controls to possess the sub-
ordinate entities regarding the sources to fulfil the objectives. The framework is formed to
ensure maximum efficiency in working environment and gain the optimum usage of
resources (Gjerde et al. 2016). The continuously changing nature of business in this modern
era needs an important guide to execute the tasks and meet the specific requirement regarding
the objective needs.
F. W. Taylor, an engineer and manager, was the first to introduce the program of
scientific development in the process of foundation of management. The process of scientific
management approach is a formulation of specific rules set in order to operate and utilize the
human resources and skills set for the definite objectives (Camuffo et al. 2019). Principles of
Scientific Management, the famous book written by Taylor describes well the formation and
the implication of scientific structure of management. The theories related to the scientific
management approach analyses the inefficiency of traditional organizations. The approach
was to maximise the work motion and execution process with predetermined working and
training format to ensure high profit margin and results among worker and manager
relationship.
The scientific management approach was made to involve the working structure to
provide a scientific framework in order to solve management related issues in a business plan
by addressing systematic improvement in the foundation processes (Elmquist, Gawer & Le
Masson 2018). The improvement is seen in the processes that are equipped with the scientific
modelled framework. It showed that the productivity of workers has risen in course of time
with the implied scientific framework that developed the contribution and considered to

provide mental support to the employees and ensured job-security by the set of rules and
regulations. In the modern management, the transparency of sharing information among
workers in different hierarchical positions help to encourage the senior management to make
a statement among the workers in a classical approach to scientifically manage the issues
introduced by Taylor in the book. The best thing about the scientific management approach in
order to develop a business organization in the modern twenty first century in four
dimensions like, making efficient choices to ensure optimization, calculative approaches in
ensuring maximum profit margin, prediction to assure standard services provided in all
locations and control (Istomin et al. 2017). The scientific management approach helps to
practice higher control by maximising the use of technological advancements as well as the
development of managers and inspectors in the business organizations. The approach was to
ensure the employees are trained well in order to develop the quality of assigned tasks as
followed by the instructions only.
One of the many important factors regarding the procedures taken in the scientific
management approach is implemented in the management of people. The scientific
framework planned by Taylor has some difficulties in implementing the framework in real
field, therefore the need for introducing a new set of scientific principles to raise awareness
and provide more research work in the in the field of social sciences regarding the
development of scientific management approach. However, the scientific management
process and theories help the organizational structure to grow more robust and help the
modern business plans to emphasis in the industrial psychology and its development to
overcome the challenges and make the necessary developments in course of time.
The theories and practical illustrations relating to the significance of the Scientific
Management Approach is implemented in a way to manage the processes of a modern

Delegation in an organization is served as an adaptive approach in the organizational
mechanisms that are fundamentally rooted in the processes of decision making authority and
designing the hierarchical division of labour across the organization. It is one of the key
dimensions of organizational designs that are rooted in many classics of organizational
theories. The discussion of several parts of the organizational theories describes the
development of decision making qualities among the employees. Therefore, the theory
explains why organizational management firms do rely on the process of delegation. The
facilitation of the employee’s initiative can effect in the process of economizing the
managerial time and attention (Cingano & Pinotti 2016). Most of the existing theories
provide a conceptual thinking and make clarity why delegation can occur within an
organization. Rather, they focus on every single aspect related to delegation. This delegation
approach mainly focused on the small organizational firms that are interdependent on the
employees and where the delegation process mostly occur due to the levels of hierarchical
development in organizations.
The project management theories accept the necessity of both the economic and
project developing management. The authorities are divided in terms of their works and
development of decision making abilities. In course of solving a task may require a formal
authority to intervene in the decision making, but the actual task related decisions are taken
by the project handling employees. Therefore, the manager who is in charge of the project
can be of decision making hierarchy, but the actual decision making abilities are handed on to
the project handling team and the teammates. Though the hierarchical differences are there in
an organization, the individual decision maker imposes on the decision making and taking
possibilities, which are actually needed for the project supervisors rather than the project
managers (Lee & Edmondson 2017). The project related knowledge, skills and contributions

are mainly focused on the delivery and execution process that are mainly handled by the task
participants (Borgers et al. 2016). In general assumption, the decision making process can
create a term of conflict in between the higher authorities and the task participants. However,
the portion of decision making process needs to be handed to the participants as they are the
one who are deeply attached to the objective and the requirements rather than the project
managers who just takes the lead and make decisions without even understanding all the
aspects of the assignment sometimes (Coccia, 2015). The scientific management approach,
therefore suggests the development of the process of the delegation terms and the hierarchical
positions in the organizational structures. However, the right to make decisions are needed to
be in the hands of the agents related to the assignment or the task. The scientific management
development approach hereby suggests to solve the conflict relating to the decision making
processes in order to make the rights of decision making to the more qualified one rather than
basis of the hierarchical position in the organization.
Organizational hierarchy is formed in the process of serving the structural
development process of an organization. The information regarding the transformation and
communicational development in an organization helps to design the variable circumstances
that can happen in the process of delegation. The conflict among employees on the basis of
taking decision and right to implement them is very obvious in having exercises on the
judgement related to the delegated decisions (Bunderson et al. 2016). The negative
consequences in relation with the overloaded information can centralize the consequences in
decision making and taking processes. The conflict in any situation in the organization can
affect the performance of the employees and can be effective in the results of the profit
margin as well as in the organizational decision making responses.
