Executive Summary
This project aimed to discuss about the scrum and change management within a project. The
advantages of scrum study within the project is described. This study also reflects the key of
success as well as the major limitations within the project. It is to be analyzed that the challenges
are adoption of governance model for agile implementation, utilizing the accepted strategies of
the project management, implementation of agile processes and framework without proper
tailoring and measuring and tracking the financials

Introduction
The project is based on scrum study and change management. Scrum is such a framework
which is employed different processes as well as techniques rather than the process and building
of products. Cameron and Green (2015) stated that Scrum framework is team based and it
defines associated roles and events. Each of the Scrum project is highly flexible as well as
iterative manner when sprint of work is tangible deliverable on the business. Firstly, most
obvious thing that I have discovered is advantage in Scrum study is working as part of this
project. I leant that good working is key success towards design activities when there is
limitation of both time as well as resources. As each one has various points of view, therefore
various ideas are produced on the Scrum study. I identified various principles of Scrum which
are followed into project to make it successful.
Scrum Study
It is required to know definition of the product as stated by SBOK at the time of
implementation of Scrum. In this study, I identified that decisions are taken base on observations
along with experimentations in respect to detailed and predictive planning. It is based on three
principles like transparency, inspection and adaption. In the Scrum study, collaboration is
required to interact with stakeholders for delivering greater values as product development
(Hayat & Qureshi, 2016). I identified three core dimensions of collaboration such as awareness,
articulate and appropriation. There is collaboration among Scrum core team with other
stakeholders to provide higher value to products. It aims to deliver valuable product and services
to the customers on regular basis. I considered time as primary constraint responsible for

allocation of fixed time for various scrum processes. There are various advantages of time
boxing process like effective development process and less overhead (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017).
I go through the sprint, which is time boxed iteration exists around 6 months. Sprint time box is
kept to around four weeks to achieve the success. In such cases, iteration development is more
flexible and ensured that changes are made when it is requested by customers. In my point of
view, Scrum is contrasted with the project methods because of lower upfront planning in
addition to scheduling of activities. Serrador and Pinto (2015) discussed that Scrum helps to
express knowledge rather than technical expertise.
Apart from all this, I have identified the challenges related to agile and hybrid
implementation in the Scrum study (Hayat & Qureshi, 2016). There is lack of scalability of agile
as well as scrum. I determined that Scrum is used into smaller projects. Scalability into the scrum
project is mostly achieved with the help of SoS (Scrum of Scrum) meeting. As well as agile is
used into IT projects; it is also used into non IT projects. Agile software is dealt with release
along with development of software by taking feedback from the customers and users (Mendez
& Pinto-Roa, 2018). Agile methodology for non-IT projects are required to interact with
different tools and techniques, customer collaboration over contract negotiation, respond to
changes over project plan and business value (Doppelt, 2017). Agile workflow strategies helps to
negotiate risks for combat the failure into the project.
I processed with implementation of change management for delivering three of the
critical outcomes. One is optimal value realization from the projects which includes of minimal
productivity disruptions along with higher level of adoption. Second is effective communication,
which provide of accurate as well as timely organizational wide information. The change
management procedures are seeks to document and optimize for keeping the business to a high

manageable positions (Dyba, Dingsoyr, & Moe, 2014). Finally, there is change management
which is seek of the Scrum project procedures which are documented as well as optimized the
business manageable (Elghondakly, Moussa, & Badr, 2015). Into the Scrum study report, I
discussed of different processes, which deploy the change management such as understanding
the purpose of changes, analyzing the change impacts, determine the change into organization
enablers and barriers and development of change management plan. There are also some other
processes such as create of transition plan help to deal with the changes, conduct the risk analysis
plan, execute the change management plan, ensure knowledge management integrity and
conduct of change management retrospective after the project (Serrador & Pinto, 2015). I have
compared the challenges of change management with Scrum versus the waterfall model. After
making the comparison, I observed that Scrum helps the team to deliver the products into shorter
cycles, while waterfall model follows step-by-step documentation in addition to rigid process
(Hayat & Qureshi, 2016). In complicated projects, the Scrum methodology is helpful to have a
breakthrough to track systems plotting progress in addition to estimation of future completion
dates.
Conclusion
It is concluded that after comparing Scrum with other methods and model, it is analyzed
that Scrum methodology is best method for communication among internal sectors of the
companies. Scrum is advantageous regarding project visibility and transparency. Scrum is a
project methodology aims to deliver products to the customers as per their requirements. Scrum
is to deliver products of higher value at a small interval of time. It is analyzed that Scrum is
updated theory which is associated with management of various types of projects. Most of the

new organizations are going for “Certified Scrum Agile Methodology” while older organizations
are going for improvement in the methodologies. The scalability of scrum is that it can be
practical to any development of any university. Scrum product is something which can be
measured as the service or other deliverable. Iteration development is more flexible and ensured
that changes are made when it is requested by customers. Collaboration among Scrum core team
with other stakeholders is provided higher value to products. It aims to deliver valuable product
and services to the customers on regular basis.
