It begins with an introduction to the company and its services, followed by an overview of SDLC, including predictive and adaptive approaches. The report then delves into the suitability of the waterfall methodology for World Tour's online booking system, emphasizing its ability to manage information verification at each step. It also outlines the process of requirement gathering, differentiating between functional and non-functional requirements. An activity diagram illustrates the system's processes, from receiving requests to issuing tickets. The report concludes by summarizing the key findings, highlighting how SDLC and new technologies can improve services.

1. INTRODUCTION
Tour and tourism are valuable business at any country that helps to increase profit margin
by providing travel and tour services. Company provides different types of services such as
online booking, cancellation, get information about packages and use more trips by using new
technology. To understand the system development life cycle and methodologies World tour has
been taken. It provides tour services to its customer through online system and also provides
information of packages that helps to choose reasonable packages.
2. System development life cycle and predictive and adaptive approaches
SDLC is a system that is used in engineering, software engineering and information
system that defines planning, creating, testing and deploying information system. World tour
used this system to attract customer in order to provide tour services such as-
Planning: This is starting phase which is used by World tour to make planning what
need to do, how it need to do and when need to do. Manager of world tour makes strategy to
develop a system that can be used to book online, and provide information through online that
will help passenger to get information.
Creating: World tour create and and prepare a system which is used to book tickets
online and customer can see packages information on a software. In this phase company made a
system which is used to work easy by using new technology.
Testing: This phase is used to review and test the system which is prepared by World
tour company. Such as world tour company apply this system by testing on its self. It seek that is
this system is capable to booking and giving information to customer.
Deploying: After analysing and testing system World tour organisation divide the system
to online reservation and booking ticketing through developed system (Dennis and Wixom,
2018).
Predictive approach: This approach is used to set the mind and helps to select a water
fall model in which World tour predict that how to make a software that will provide all

information that relates to tour services. Moreover, it is used to predict future expectation and
needs to fill customer expectation.
Usefulness: It helps to predict and get information before developing a system on the
bases of past information. Such as World tour can get estimate of budgets and technology which
helps to develop a new system.
Limitation: It consume more time and funds to develop new websites and in testing
process because it is based on prediction and assumptions.
Adaptive approach: This approach is used in case of exact needs and expectation of
customers are not understand properly. It is flexible approach which is used to modify the plans
according to needs and wants. Such as World tour has find the requirement to develop a software
who provides all tour information through a website like booking, system can be checked by new
and existing user and can register through online system. Hence, it can used adaptive approach to
provide such information through a website.
Usefulness: This approach helps to maintain a balance and keep harmonize different
forces that helps to create healthy environment. It also provide exact information that helps to
save cost and time of organisation.
Limitation: It does not focuses on diversity and also need to hire highly technical
employees to develop such type of system.
3. Model that is used in SDLC and its suitability
WATERFALL METHODOLOGY
In the context of given case scenario, World Tours has been providing online booking
services to its users wherein a staff member is assigned as a tour guide for each tour along with
staff information provided to the customers. For this purpose, a well-defined booking system has
been set into place which allows users, whether existing or new to enter their personal
information regarding tour details with the company. If the user is New, they need to first sign up
with the World Tours website which is used for going forward with further relevant transactions.
On the other hand, a similar procedure is followed by the existing users along with a facility to
book, cancel or change their reservations for any tour plan.
Since a tour requires a very comprehensive booking system along with verification of
information at each step for official purposes, a Waterfall Methodology is most suitable. This is
due to the fact that this model maintains a mechanism which requires movement from one phase

to another only when the previous stage is fully reviewed and verified by the system. For a
online tour company such as World Tours, this would help in easier, authentic and viable storage
of information filled by the users for booking their favourite tours or plans (Kramer, 2018).
4. Requirement gathering from case study
It has been analysed that World tour should use system development life cycle that helps
in reservation, online booking, online cancellation and to register new customer as getting
information through websites. It can used information through questionnaire such as-
What facility do you want in tour services?
What method should be used in order to payment of booking tickets?
5. Function and Non function requirements
Functional: World tour contains functional requirements such as business technology,
administrative function, correct transaction of booking tickets and authorization level.
Non functional: World tour also contains non functional requirements like reliability,
availability, recoverability, capacity, serviceability and security which helps to provide exact
information to organisations (Rajaraman, 2018).
6. Activity diagram
Receive request: World Tour company can use to receive request from customer side by
checking information of tour packages.

cycle is a system that helps to provide new services by using new technology and system. It
involves different stages such as planning, analysis, designing, implementation and maintenance
to develop a new system which helps to provide information to customers.
