Toshiba Corporation is a multinational Japanese company whose headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan.
Their most common services and products they offer include communications and information technology
equipment and systems, materials and electronic components, power systems, social and industrial
infrastructure systems, household appliances, consumer electronics, office equipment, medical equipment and
also logistics and lighting.
The company is divided into four organization groups the Electronic Devices, the Digital Products, the Social
Infrastructure and Home Appliances organization. Toshiba improves the qualities of their products more than
any other electronic companies for example they create long-lasting products that offer a high-level quality and
functionality and a cost that has no competition (Nomoto,2017).

Seagate Technology is a technology company based in America. It is a company that is mainly involved in
offering products and services that mainly support the storage of computers, and the products include a hard
disk drive, solid-state drives, and hybrid drives.
According to Pisano (2015), it is advisable for the enterprise to have innovation strategies that will help them
became better than the leading industry operating a similar industry. These innovation strategies include;
a. Cost reduction
Seagate technology plan to reduce the cost prices of their products. This will significantly help in the attraction
of customers and also reduce the competition from the major leading enterprises (Srithip, Suthummanon &
Sirivongpaisal 2017).
b. Designing their products
Employing qualified personnel’s that will develop and design Seagate products in a unique way that will help
attract their customers, also employing personnel’s that will help in different departments like offering training
services, customer services care, rewards issuing to customers and a person who can research on the new
generation trending products. This personnel’s will help significantly in researches of their product and
probably improve in case they discover the competition is very high in order to avoid challenges in the early
stages (Sutthijakra & Intarakumnerd 2015).
c. Differentiation
The innovation of differentiation strategy that will help Seagate technology to offer quality products. This
enables the enterprise to offer a product that is different from the other major competitors which are upgraded
and are designed in a way that they can attract their customers to their products.

d. Making a good relationship with beneficial companies
The innovation of strategic acquisition in the enterprise will help the company to have excellent service
enhancement, and the network expertise will be expanded. The acquisition strategies include; Avago technology
LSI flash business and the Xyratex which is the most significant data storage technology and testing equipment
maker’s providers. The two companies will help the enterprise maintain the price of HDD competition and also
reduce the cost of its manufacturing.
Seagate technology Target and the effectiveness of their innovation strategies
Seagate technology targets to become better than the other major enterprise in the supply of their products and
also to provide their customers with a peace of mind by providing and protecting their customers-customers'
digital lives. However, their innovation strategies have their weaknesses and strengths. The gap of the
innovation strategies is that there many major companies and they also have their innovation strategies to the
market position is very competitive on the other hand the strength of these innovation strategies they are unique,
and even they will help in financial, management issues (Zalewska-Kurek, Kandemir, Englis & Englis 2016). If
these strategies are followed as discussed the enterprise will develop and grow and become the leading
enterprises.

Seagate technology should be able to manage their financial activities to avoid continuous losing makings.
Also, they should acquire the right personnel’s who can advertise the products to the public and be able to

Western Digital has made history in the industry of electronics due to its intergraded storage products and
circuit maker. It is the leading industry in the manufacturing of computer hard disk drives. They also have a
good connection with very many suppliers who help them in supplying their products they also have very good
