Developing a Secure Electronic Health Service to Exchange HER Data

This report presents research on developing a secure electronic health service (EHS), potentially including a mobile health service, for exchanging Health Electronic Records (HER). The literature review highlights the importance of data security and patient privacy, identifying the challenges and security threats within EHS, such as malware, DDOS attacks, and unauthorized access. The research methodology includes a qualitative design, inductive approach, and a survey with 20 healthcare employees to gather primary data, complemented by a literature review for secondary data. The report emphasizes the significance of technical, physical, and administrative safeguards, staff training, and the use of encryption to mitigate security risks. The data analysis will utilize descriptive statistical analysis and Excel/SPSS tools. The research aims to address the security and privacy issues within EHS, with a focus on developing effective security policies and procedures for compliance in digital medical processes.
